Of course, in said hypothetical scenario we are dealing with a murderer, not an armed robber who turned out not to be armed. (so we'd still count him as armed, since it's impossible to tell at the time)
In the case of said armed robber, the circumstances might lead to me actually forgiving him, since it's all insured anyway.
