To be fair, a quad core is only useful for intensive games and such. My S II had a dual core and it wasn't very fast, but my Lumia 920 never slows down. iOS, WP7/8 and now BB10 have all the optimisation down so a dual core is more than enough at this point. Quad is what Android generally needs, especially with the bloat that skins can cause. Nexus 4 is a speed demon though.
