Israel has boarded the ship legally, according the San Remo manual of maritime law. This is just ridiculous.
Let me try to explain in words you can understand: Blockade - LEGAL. Why? UN security council didn't declare it illegal. Boarding - LEGAL. Why? San Remo manual of maritime law allows armies to board ships trying to break a blockade (and it doesn't even specify whether the blockade is legal or not as far as I know).
"Just as bad as the commandos" and why were the commandos bad?
Burnemdown, ladies and gentleman
What? I didn't hear you over the sound of commandos being attacked violently:
They, burnemdown, were boarding, ILLEGALLY, a fucking PEACE flotilla you are fucking braindead
They, Warhol, were board, LEGALLY, a fucking TRYING TO BREAK A BLOCKADE flotilla.
funny how the clip starts too late to show that the people on the ship could have been attacking in self defense
no they weren't? spices and food = weapons of mass destruction, yeah, how dare they try to help oppressed fucking people jesus, burnemdown, you will fucking defend war crimes to the death.
And correct me if I'm wrong because this is from a friend, but wasn't it already searched once and it was ok'd?
funny how the clip starts too late to show that the people on the ship could have been attacking in self defense
The commandos didn't even have time to attack them, they were attacked and mobbed before their feet even touched the ground. [editline]09:05PM[/editline]
And correct me if I'm wrong because this is from a friend, but wasn't it already searched once and it was ok'd?
It was searched by many countries, but Israel has the right to search it as well since they're the ones imposing the blockade.
The commandos didn't even have time to attack them, they were attacked and mobbed before their feet even touched the ground.
Totally proves that those were the first people on it. And completely 100% rules out them provoking it before getting on.
oh boy, armed dudes from a fucking attack helicopter from a military known for their brutal and vicious treatment of innocent people MUST BE PEACEFUL INTENTIONS HYUCK

If it was searched, and by MULTIPLE countries, then they have no business going in and doing it again.
oh boy, armed dudes from a fucking attack helicopter from a military known for their brutal and vicious treatment of innocent people MUST BE PEACEFUL INTENTIONS HYUCK
They were peaceful on all other ships where they weren't attacked. IMO the Israeli soldiers weren't 'attacked'. they were the attackers. the boats weren't headed to an Israeli state or territory. They weren't even in Israeli waters.
IMO the Israeli soldiers weren't 'attacked'. they were the attackers. the boats weren't headed to an Israeli state or territory. They weren't even in Israeli waters.
Precisely. They were out of their jurisdiction boarding a ship that was previously searched and had nothing to do with them. I guess it'd be fine if america boarded a ship heading to one of our enemies because we wanna make sure that they don't have weapons right?
They were peaceful on all other ships where they weren't attacked. COINCIDENCE??????
Didn't know the ships were all linked by some HIVEMIND ohhhh spooky
They have every right in the world to check it, since they're the ones imposing the blockade.
lol, so if Palestine implemented a blockade for Israeli's to enter Palestine, something tells me you would be fucking up in arms over it.
Let me try to explain in words you can understand: Blockade - LEGAL. Why? UN security council didn't declare it illegal.
So if you're using UN's standard of following what is legal and what is illegal, care to follow the remaining 300 something UN resolutions condemning Israel for breaking international laws?
Boarding - LEGAL. Why? San Remo manual of maritime law allows armies to board ships trying to break a blockade (and it doesn't even specify whether the blockade is legal or not as far as I know).
The San Remo Manual is applicable between two warring nations in a state of armed conflict. What state is Israel in conflict against? Last I checked, Hamas isn't a state. Not only that, but if you care to read San Remo manual, it states that it is illegal to enforce a blockade on an entire population. So, Israel, the onus is once again on you. Will you abide by international standards, or will you abide by standards selectively chosen by you in order for you to carry out your crimes? I think the answer is exceedingly clear.
fuck, bear, you're right, he didn't even fucking read the regulation in the San Remo manual.
Let me remind you that the UN is an advice-recommendation giving body, not an enforcing body. It can't enforce anything and even if it declares something illegal, it doesn't have to stop. Israel is in an on-going conflict against the Hamas, and as long as the Hamas will fire rockets into its borders, which happens daily, it is considered an armed conflict.

Don't hold me to that. Hamas is a terrorist organisation. They are the lowest of the low. How many palestinian civilians have died from Israeli military strikes and such? It's around 1000 i believe. Israel is the nation here. Israel kick and scream yelling that they're the good guys. Why don't they act like it? Not saying hamas are good either. But Israel aren't exactly good themselves. Israel was attacked for 9 years before attacking back, we asked the world to do something, but the world didn't do a thing. Then, on the first day we attacked, all the world turned against us. And during those 9 years about a 1000 civilians died as well.
Hamas is a terrorist organisation. They are the lowest of the low. Not saying hamas are good either. But Israel aren't exactly good themselves.
Not necessarily. Remember they were democratically elected, like the National African congress who was terrorist at first etc. and a load others I forgot. http://www.cfr.org/publication/8968/#p6 In addition to its military wing, the so-called Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigade, Hamas devotes much of its estimated $70-million annual budget to an extensive social services network. Indeed, the extensive social and political work done by Hamas - and its reputation among Palestinians as averse to corruption - partly explain its defeat of the Fatah old guard in the 2006 legislative vote. Hamas funds schools, orphanages, mosques, healthcare clinics, soup kitchens, and sports leagues. "Approximately 90 percent of its work is in social, welfare, cultural, and educational activities," writes the Israeli scholar Reuven Paz. The Palestinian Authority often fails to provide such services, and Hamas's efforts in this area—as well as a reputation for honesty, in contrast to the many Fatah officials accused of corruption—help to explain the broad popularity it summoned to defeat Fatah in the PA's recent elections.

Just give me your estimate.
