Numbers don't mean anything.
Israel was attacked for 9 years before attacking back, we asked the world to do something, but the world didn't do a thing. Then, on the first day we attacked, all the world turned against us.
And during those 9 years about a 1000 civilians died as well.
would you please provide two sources for that figure, oh one who claims numbers don't mean anything in the header of his post, then posts a number to back up his opinion?
The world didn't do a thing? The world does plenty for you.
Israel is a developed nation, palestine is not. You should be the bigger person here, you shouldn't be sinking to their level.
Let me remind you that the UN is an advice-recommendation giving body, not an enforcing body. It can't enforce anything and even if it declares something illegal, it doesn't have to stop.
Israel is in an on-going conflict against the Hamas, and as long as the Hamas will fire rockets into its borders, which happens daily, it is considered an armed conflict.
That goes both ways, if them deeming it illegal doesn't mean they need to stop means that them deeming it legal doesn't mean that they can do it.

2000 - 2010 total deaths: 1306.
Here's another one though it's only regarding suicide bombings:

Total deaths 2000 - 2008: 627
No, I am not using numbers to back up my opinion, what matters to me is the cause of the deaths. I was using the number because some people won't be convinced and think that whoever loses more people is the right side, so why not just show them that not as few Israelis died as they think?
For some reason, I think BurnEmDown works for the Israeli government. He can't admit any wrongdoing Israel does.
That goes both ways, if them deeming it illegal doesn't mean they need to stop means that them deeming it legal doesn't mean that they can do it.
No, it doesn't work both ways. I can do anything I want that isn't considered illegal, I don't have to wait for someone to tell me something is legal to do it, I have the right to do anything as long as it doesn't hurt other people, if it's not justified.
BurnEmDown, for the blockade to be legal it has to state what is contraband. Have they done that?
Who decided that?
International laws I believe.
Could someone answer my question plz?

You're saying that the UN doesn't have actual authority, but use it to claim that they're in the right because the UN says it's cool.

You are going to die. Good luck.

Believing isn't enough :)
A source would be nice.
(Yeah I realize everyone will now say "but is it from Wikipedia???").

Fair point.
Those sources do not list civilian casualties. Only the full toll.
Even then, israel is the developed nation. Israel should not be starving innocent men, women and children to get at the bad minority who fling rockets.
Israel is sinking to the level of hamas.

They didn't "say it's cool". They just didn't say anything about it.

Seeing as though the minority you speak off was voted in by the majority then that really makes them the majority so Israel can do it.

If they didn't say anything about it then you have no grounds to say that it's legal and cite them as a reason.

you'd vote them in too if you had no better choice
Laws and the breaking of them do not define right and wrong. Laws are not a good moral code on every issue.
I'm going to bed now. goodnight.

Well, it seems like Israel doesn't have any options.
Not doing anything means civilians will keep dying, doing something means the whole world condemns Israel.
There is a middle ground, obviously, but it won't work with a terroristic organization such as the Hamas.
I think, the world needs to tell Israel to stop attack the Hamas, but not be hypocrites and say the same to the Hamas. You can't expect Israel to behave like a first world nation, when you don't expect its enemies to behave like one, it's an absurd situation which gives Israel no choices.

Laws should be a good moral code on every issue, that's what they're for. When laws don't protect the people and make it so that doing bad things is breaking the law, the law needs to be changed, but anyone who has broken the law before it has changed isn't responsible or guilty for such actions.

How about instead of blowing up everything they suspect to have hamas sheltering inside, they send in foot soldiers to deal with it?
Quoting it in case you missed it.
I didn't, and correct me if I'm wrong, but this only applies to the goods on the merchant ship, not the ship itself.
As in, a ship can be boarded even if no contraband list has been published, but goods on the ship can't be taken unless they're under the contraband list that has been published.
Edit: Oh wait, no this applies to all "capturing of merchant vessels". I'll look through other laws regarding the issue like the Helsinki manual or whatever it's called.

They did. And it's buildings which were "suspected" to have Hamas inside, they were buildings which rockets were fired from.

they should be, but they aren't.
your second sentence makes little sense to me.

I was arguing that the point was that HAMAS was the minority, I proved very easily that it wasn't.
