Afaik, Hindus generally don't care that much unless it was done to intentionally insult them which is not the case here. His claims that "Hindus at large are very upset" is questionable to say the least. [editline]4th February 2016[/editline] I dont recall hindus making a fuss when this came out.
That's because here he had the proper hat.
It's so close to release in Japan right now that I'm pretty sure stores would already have boxes full of the game, it's too late to change it for the Japanese release now. SMT would exercise that free speech considering how the series is but taking off a fedora wouldn't be the end of the series' integrity.
They're upset he's a character you can control in the first place also tiny things is how the ball gets rolling
I don't disagree but this is the part where we all get smitten
Dude I know they're attractive concepts but gods don't make for good "waifus".
What a joke, Krishna is an important character in SMT4F. He can't simply be removed. The plotline is about how just as things are going to shit between the angels and demons, a polytheistic god alliance led by Krishna appears and claims they are going to save the humans from YHVH and Lucifer.
This is the franchise where the Judeo-Christian god is regularly depicted as an infantile, control-freaky maniac arguably worse than Satan, and they take offense to this?
Find it more funny that the pissed off ones are american Hindus, rather than indian ones.
Personally I think all deities, regardless of cultures, should be open to "trivialization" and reinterpretation. After all, they're constructs of folklore, not actual cosmic entities capable of doing anything brash towards their critics.
Fuck, I better get rid of my statue of Cthulhu in a wifebeater. :scream:
