2 trillion a year could be better spent getting to other planets, or with that much cash even other star systems. That should definitely be done before experiments on our only planet.

Solar panels in the desert would be worn away by the blowing sand. Constant maintanence would be required.

I want to see it done. I'm not saying it's the best course of action but to me it's by far the most interesting. :smile:
