I'm inclined to buy Dead Space but I'm not sure if it's because I want it or if it's just because it's cheap.
The last few days have been like a drunken stupor where I just buy 5-10 dollar games and regret it.

Of course it is. I tried the demo on ps3 in the past, and it terrible, the controls was pretty impossible to get used to. I decided to buy it on pc with thoughts of using it to test how good my new pc would run it.
It finally finished downloading at 2AM (started at 6PM) And I decided to spend a bit of time playing it. What started as 30 minutes turned to 3 hours of me sitting in the dark, with the volume up. Shitting myself!
If you're into true horror games ( not pansy games like Doom 3, Fear Series ) then buy this one.

Also, don't but Dead Space if your Pc can't run it on medium/max settings, it really kills the horror-style lighting.
