The NSA does this anyway without any government oversight, so isn't this kind of redundant?
The government can shit out all the bills they fucking want than one fails so create another one?
fuck da police.
in all seriousness, WTH! this is bullshit., I'm already spreading this around to some friends and Facebook.
We're rightfully fucked now. If Microsoft and Facebook is behind this, there's a slim to none chance that It won't pass. After this, they'll probably make it so that swearing on the internet is a $200 fine. These bills are fucking ridiculous. Are they even going to take the communitys voice into consideration?
NFA - No fun allowed
The internet is the last free place, just leave it alone.
I find it laughable how they are just bringing out these new bills either they scrap them, they're obviously trolling us.
oh my god...
Here we go again.
They're gonna [censored].
Everytime a bill like this hits the headlines, I get extremely paranoid that THIS ONE is special. THIS ONE will make it through Congress and move onto head honcho.
Then again, this one PROBABLY won't, but seeing that list of supporters fucking scares me.

Face it, guys, our government will not stop until it has killed the open Internet. The Internet is a threat to everyone with money and power and cannot be permitted to exist in it's current form. They'll just keep throwing shitty bills at us until one sticks.
Just like the wild west, the internet will succumb to government intervention.
(history has a tendency of repeating itself)

I agree its a completely different issue, but it's still not good. This bill basically allows the Federal Government to pursue any information or people that they think are a cyber security risk with complete immunity from any liability. It's war on hackers on the outside, and an attack on privacy from within.
These Internet bills are like shaving.
Each time we remove them they grow back stronger and faster until we get lazy.

Except shaving doesn't cause the hair to grow back faster...

I would assume Google is against this bill as well. At first i thought Google should block all government IP addresses from using their services, until this shit goes away. Let them try being censored on for once. But then I realized that they probably don't know how to change their IE6 homepage from MSN.
