I understand the purpose of patents, but they really do stifle innovation in the name of capital. Somewhat of a tangent, but it makes me glad that the patent for the electric guitar was delayed long enough for several companies to spring up, otherwise rock/metal might've never gotten anywhere because of exorbitant costs from the monopoly.
Now I'm starting to become even more glad that I'm getting a Galaxy Nexus soon; I love my iPods and iPad but with the way Apple is acting right now I don't feel like supporting them anymore.

I would be first to say I do not understand how the process work to get one.
But I would assume that it is an original idea and that it would hurt your company if it was taken.
So Apple has friends at whom ever gives these out and if they are giving out incorrect patents, we need to find who.

I won't deny it, my Ipod is an essential part of my life, I use it to call, Text, check Email, and read the news, However if there was an alternate device backed by a corporation that wasn't corrupt as fuck I would buy it in a sec.
