On my iPod, if you have music playing when it's locked, unlocking it is something like this
Turn on screen > Slide to unlock > Wait 5 seconds > Music opens
Browsing is along the lines of
Open page, read, open link in new tab, read, click link, read, go back to first tab, page has to refresh because it ran out of memory, Safari crashes
