You could always use an app when in a phone call on an iPhone (barring technical limitations like no data when using voice on EDGE etc), like how pre multitasking iPhone could still play music while in another app.
Doesn't matter, i'm not a large fan of touch screens anyway, i'll just keep my verizon razzle phone instead.
It's kind of disappointing that apple does shit like this, since they actually do produce extremely good (albeit overpriced) phones
