Facebook is too congested with 9gag memes and stupid "Like if you support", etc.
Only if your friends are retards
Only if your friends are retards
I guess most of the people on my facebook are (or were at this point since I deleted a ton of them) retards.
I left Facebook last year. It was getting too repetitive for my liking.
"61% of users found out that they can walk outside and use a new method of communication called 'meeting up IRL'"
Ah, i'll just spend money on a plane ticket to say hi. [editline]3rd April 2013[/editline] Even though I dont have facebook, thats still a dumb thing to say.
It's not exactly "boring", it's just that there are exponentially stupider trends occuring within it, and a proportionate amount of gullible dickweeds to fall for them. lms if u agree
It's not exactly "boring", it's just that there are exponentially stupider trends occuring within it, and a proportionate amount of gullible dickweeds to fall for them. lms if u agree
It's boring because people just post mundane rubbish that no one cares about like "Have a nice long bus journey to college to find I can't do work till 1. Now to get the bus back home and hopefully a shorter bus journey." Yes because everyone REALLY cares.
Maybe it's now that Facebook is getting congested with more stupid shit like Sponsored Pages and now pages that are talking about pages you liked.
its good to follow what your childhood friends have become and how much more successful they are than you
apparently there was a study that shows facebook makes people depressed, because all of their friends seem to be doing better than them. In reality, your friends only tend to report on the good things happening, making it look like that's all that happens to them and they're living life care-free I don't post much/at all, I only really use it to throw a link to a friend's wall so they and our mutual friends who'd enjoy it will eventually spot it, occasional messages, and reminding myself that there's people out there dumber than rocks who occasionally post comments on pages I follow I knew the site would become a plague when it opened from scholastic-only registration to 'everybody', though at first I was just worried about family-level intrusion, not humanity showing that people for the most part are stupid scared animals with way too much power
I made my account in 2010 and I went on it everyday just posting daily updates and stuff. Somehow, I managed to not get bored and annoyed by the large amount of dumb people. But since February, I think I've finally had enough of seeing the stupid shit on my News Feed, so I stopped using Facebook. There was less shit on my News Feed when I first joined, although there was still shit being posted. Nowadays, all I see are girls posting these ~deep~ love message things, people talking about how their lives suck, relationship problems, girls complaining about guys, guys complaining about girls, and a fuckton of dumb and annoying images being shared. All of my good friends have stopped using Facebook as well so there's no point for me to even be on FB other than chatting through messenger and checking up on old friends. And funny thing is that all the random people I added, when I first joined, I've actually got to become friends with most of them. That's good, I suppose.
yep. its boring. but i somehow was too much active on facebook back in 2010. but i realised that i have enough of this
Why would I want to check Facebook? I hate most of the people on there.
Do you have no friends that facebook?
It was never interesting. It is a service to keep in touch with people you know, and is occasionally useful for organizing events.
Most of the problems people have on facebook are because of their shitty selection of friends or the fact that facebook doesn't mention you can block posts from pages/people
I never registered on Facebook. I feel pretty weird for that.
I make roughly 2-3 facebook posts a month at best. All I really do with it now is piss off strangers or like things my friends post. There's just not much left that still seems worthwhile. [editline]3rd April 2013[/editline] And the advertisements they plaster fucking everywhere don't particularly improve anything either
I mostly use facebook for news. It's a good way to get up to date info, especially in the local area.
Was always damn boring for me. It's full of attenction whores and pretentious people. I remember I signed up years ago because everyone left Live Messenger for Facebook Chat, so if you wanted to keep in touch there was no other way. Use it way less nowadays because I don't chat with any of them anymore. Also people I want to contact are like me, don't check their facebook daily, so messages get overlooked all the time and I can't rely on it for a single thing.
It's full of attenction whores and pretentious people.
Then don't add those people?
Everywhere i see on facebook is "like my profile pic for a truth is" and "like for a rate" its so annoying...i dont use facebook that often even though i used to a lot about 2 years ago. Everyone i feel like outgrew it and switched to twitter/instagram.
Then don't add those people?
Old friends and classmates, people whom attend my same courses at the uni, etc. I actually had to remove some from the homepage so much their posts bothered me, but dare remove somebody from friends and they'll come and ask why and think you're an asshole and all that.
makes sense. since I don't have any real friends I got tired of seeing how awesome my facebook "friends" lives are... sigh.
that's a pretty sweet banana slicer
Maybe its dying now and soon it will be like myspace?
I do most of my coursework/personal work on the computer, so generally my FB is logged in most of the time. I enjoy using it to catch up with friends back in my home town and whatnot There are a lot of people who post stuff I don't care about, but in that case I just unsubscribe from them, so the only news feeds I get are the ones relevant to me
I have IRL friends that don't use Steam. That's what FB is to me.
Most of my friends have switched to Twitter.
I use FB to organize things and chat with friends (As I have no phone)
Most of my friends have switched to Twitter.
How do you even switch from FB to Twitter when they are two totally different services with totally different purposes?
My facebook right now is filled up to the brim with gifs and kids trying to act like good guys so girls can like their statuses.
Facebook is too congested with 9gag memes and stupid "Like if you support", etc.
Depends what type of people you get yourself surrounded by. I dont get any of that at all. I use facebook for pictures, clocking in, keeping up to date with friends & music. Most of the stuff posted is crap, yes, even I know no one cares when I post about my football team (charlton), but oh well, its great for everything it needs to be good at. If there is anything else I wanted from Facebook, it would be to properly share what I am listening to so people can follow my music. I tend to be one of those that finds music quickly and share it with my mates so that would be kind of cool. Twitter is an okay news source if you are into celebrity (no thanks) or sports (yes please) It is good for keeping up to date with artists as well, if you want to know an an unreasonable amount about there lifes. I think its very limited, like facebook you cant share music easily, its all outsourced by links. Also think its horrible how you have to @blablabla #bla #blabla. Doesnt look nice to me.
