As a person living in Sarasota, I must tell people that there are going to be more accidents on Interstate-75 and Interstate-4. The rail runs on the median of these roads, and people are going to slow down, not look at what they are doing, and say "OOOOH SHINY" and run into a palm tree.
We have both shitty looking trains in Australia, and because of the heat, the tracks expand. Y'know what that means? That's right, we have the HIGHEST rate of train track related accidents possibly in the world. The only good thing about our trains is we actually get to use them for cheap.
Key West... Ft. Lauderdale... Orlando...? And anyway, the ICE train in Europe is much faster than this, so is Amtrak. Florida sucks at making a rail system. They should stop trying.
The ICE train's driver cabin looks awesome: [editline]12:53PM[/editline]
Neither Germany nor England have maglev trains.
I live in Florida! Fuck yeah! St. Petersburg FLORIDA BITCH
Clermont Yeah! Much closer to that train than you.
I feel like a train system should be built between more...important places. I mean, really. Florida?
I imagine the amount of tourists who will inevitably use it to visit Busch Gardens in Tampa while they are on a Disney/Universal vacation in Orlando makes it worthwhile to investors.
TGV has been doing this for 30 years...
Why are people complaing about the speed? The friggen trains around here go only 60 mph so its an upgrade
