A few months ago my friend found a glitch in my school's macs that let us log in by mashing space on the password screen. We ended up playing music over some enormous speakers. (Not like anyone would have cared since it was the weekend)

Coworker's phone is on 8.3 and it worked
Time to blackmail all of the Apple fans I know...
Then you'r trying to prove apple's shit is broken, which it's not...
...unless it's on a beta build, in which case people should not be be bitching because it's a beta build.
But no, I am on yosemite 10.10.3. A bit behind, I believe.
What? How can you even deny this? Stop with the stupid bloody fanboying and look at the facts. Jesus Christ...

It's time like these I'm glad that I don't care enough for phones to go above and IPhone 4.m I'll probably drop it for an Android phone of some sort anyway.
I probably got this message about 40 times today. Luckily it's just annoying and the crashing can be easily fixed.
This spread all over my school like wildfire. Now everyone isn't on their phones during class!
Same, when I first saw it in the morning I thought "huh, just another reason why iOS is a piece of shit". By the afternoon, it became that much more widespread. One kid asked a teacher (who was busy doing all sorts of stuff because it's close to the end of the year and things are crazy), he mentioned the lack of time thing. Poor soul :v:
Yay Android and (for those that have one) Windows Phone masterrace.

I seriously wish Apple would go back to Snow Leopard update schemes, everything would be 99% more stable.
Though I'd really like a built-in theme system for OS X at least, even OS 9 had it
whats your beef with Apple, even despite this glitch Macs have 1000x better security than PCs
Woooooow
My friend tried sending this to me.
I have a BlackBerry.
Time to piss off my work colleagues and friends

The only thing they really need to do is bring Scott Forstall back. Even though he may have been a bit of a douche at times and has a fetish for skeuomorphism, at least shit worked. After that, things started going downhill with iOS. OS X Mavericks held up well, but Yosemite fell apart (but apparently 10.10.4 will fix one of the huge grievances, however I think it's too little too late).
Hopefully they can get their shit together with iOS 9 and OS X 10.11, but from the sounds of it, it might not be a true Snow Leopard-like release since Snow Leopard had exactly zero new "big" features, whereas iOS 9/OS X 10.11 will have some.

That person is being hyperbolic, but there's no real doubting that Unix-based platforms like Mac, Linux, etc are naturally a lot more secure than Windows.
Someone sent me this but my iPhone didn't turn off?
[editline]28th May 2015[/editline]
O yea, I'm on iOS 8.3
Goes to show how updating your devices is a good thing
I have iOS 8.3
It just crashes Instagram, Texting, or whatever I use it on. I just open it again and its fine
I must be old no one sent me anything and I'm on 8.2

I wonder if there ever was an equivalent thing for Android and other phone OSs

SMS bombing a persons android phone that's fairly old/not supported will crash it. Tried it once, didn't try it again because I got hit
At my job, everyone's issued a company iPhone. Most of them don't update their firmware. They also keep a list of everyone's phone number on the server.
I just found a new way to fuck with the coworkers I don't like.

Ding ding ding Apple fucked up again

It's a pretty obscure and easily fixable bug, it's only been spread around so much because it's Apple and people keep exploiting it. If people cared enough to post about exploits and bugs for pretty much every other platform you'd be dinging a lot as well, but it wouldn't please the circlejerk as much.

I remember back when Whatsapp for Android had a bug similiar - it would make the Whatsapp DB crash and you could only re-open whatsapp if you'd delete all your old messages/restore backup :eng101:

Not really true, you could still open it but once that once message is on the screen the app crashes. Still not as bad as having the entire phone reboot.

The phone doesn't really reboot though it only resprings which means you don't have to enter you pin and stuff.
