i see no problem with this considering the egg was not the biological mother's. i'm sure this had to be properly verified with people who study issues like this as their career.
Socially it's kind of weird, in a strange never heard of that before way, but biologically it's no different than having a kid the way everyone else does, technically. No big deal to me, this
^ seriously, the people who think this is weird are either sheltered or ignorant of how difficult the surrogate process is. This way he has the assurance that his carrier has no diseases, drug history, or other health concerns. Surrogates only provide you their medical history and whatever they feel about being honest about, there's a risk involved every time. Have an open mind and this wouldn't be weird.
She was 19 when she became a mother
Weren't they risking the same health issues as other incestuous births?
I simply don't see the logic. Also ew.
Eeeeeeeeewww.
Why would they? It's her sons sperm and another womans egg, there is no incest of any kind here, there is no grandmother's dna being passed to the child except for the part of her dna that belongs to her son.
So? Being gay is also weird by a certain definition so what is the point of even saying this?
Exactly that. "Weird" and "morally wrong" / "worthy of disrespect" don't have anything to do with each other.
really there's nothing wrong with this
It is a really fucking weird situation regardless.
i don't think im ever going to shake how slightly weird this feels to me but it's also a pretty beautiful thing
Uh, isn't giving birth past 25 years of age makes your child retarded?

wat... most people have kids now past that age, my mom was 31
all things considered I actually find this to be a pretty nice gesture, going the extra mile for your son
...god damn does that sound bad
