I imagine they won't care for GTA5 modding as the online version will probably unmoddable.
Especially after the news that there will be microtransactions to gain in-game money i would suspect that they will close even more gaps that would be potential to modify. Or in their case, to mod your in-game amount of cash.

not really, a lot of the gta v files are similar to gta iv. And the guys of OpenIv are already researching with the console files.
I'm hoping this is true because that's a day before my birthday.

Isn't "Games for Windows" shut down?

Not yet, next year it will be if I'm correct.
I really wanna believe, that it will come out in November for the PC.

Games for Windows LIVE, not Games for Windows. They're separate things.
One means the game runs on the Windows OS; the other is MS's online service.
iirc, I've seen Skyrim with the Games for Windows logo on its box at Gamestop, and it's Steam only.

games for windows is the set of standards and certification set up by microsoft so that each game has stuff like xbox controller support and the like
games for windows live is the shitty online service, it's a different thing

No, that's Games for Windows Live
"Windows XP" "DirectX 10.0"... this doesn't seem very thought through
In some xml they saw, it listed Dx9, Dx10, and Dx11 as options to play with, so I'd assume XP would run in Dx9 mode. (I read that from some other source.)
Or for the love of Christ why must all of rockstars stuff have games for windows live. Did they sell their eternal soul to Microsoft or something?
Or wait, is there no games for windows lives? Because that would be super awesome

GFWL no longer exists. GFW is just their process for certification
Like every GTA, the PC version will release 6+ months after console release. GTA 5 for PC will release late Q1 to early Q3 2014. No later, will most most most most likely not release earlier.
It only took an extra 15 days for MP3 to come out on PC after it's console release. I'm not sure we will be waiting a full 6 months.

this is the first GTA with hard evidence that a PC version has been in the works since before the console launch, so things are looking good.
but it's definitely an apple and oranges deal comparing it to MP3, the development for that game was completely PC-centric.
I just want to play it on PC because I hate the shitty framerate, draw distance, load times, and resolution the 360 version has. It's clear that the 360 is barely able to run GTAV
If this is the actual release date, I'll be saddened. It's 2 days after I ship out to basic training.
Perfect date for me, and we're only about 7 weeks away, that's around my birthday
Then I'll have time to save up for a PC upgrade.
It better be on Steam...
It better be on Steam...
GTA 3 and above are on Steam.
Pfft... There's been proorder of PC version on the site i use for a couple of months already... Just bc some sites let u order it doesnt mean they have any good reason for it. They probably just hoping. But yes... It will come sooner or later
GTA 3 and above are on Steam.
First and second are as well.
First and second are as well.
You can download them from Rockstar for free anyway. When I got them through Steam, it was part of a GTA bundle sale.
I wish this would be for real. It'd be on my birthday then.
I wish this would be for real. It'd be on my birthday then.
It wouldn't be my birthday, but it would definitely be the next best thing.
I'd wait for an official announcement before I get excited.
Everyone at my school is going crazy with that date, even though it hasn't been confirmed yet. I ask them why they think it's real and all they tell me is "it was on facebook so it's fine".
Oh, happy birthday to me. C:

First and second are as well.
they were
but later they got removed, since its free
The site where you can get them for free is still down, though.
Wish they would get it working again.
