Patriot Act is bullshit, and DOES go against the Constitution. Yet, I dont see the Progressives making an attempt to repeal it? No. They like having the power. They like having all these abilities available, and yet they can still blame it on Bush.
You know the democrats aren't progressive, right? There is no real progressive party in this country; liberals just vote democrat because they're not republicans.
It's too hard to quote all of you. Republicans do not equal conservatives. McCain is proof of that. The fact that the Tea Party exists is proof of that. I call far left democrats progressive when I want to be nice to them. I see liberal as more of an insulting term, and dont use it when I want to play nice.
I see liberal as more of an insulting term, and dont use it when I want to play nice.
lol liberal as an insulting term? yeah, fuck human rights and shit. let's go bomb some little brown people. [editline]05:55PM[/editline]
I do not support the Patriot Act. Give me a quote where I did. You're just assuming bullshit.
take a few reading classes. I said it wouldn't be surprising if you did. I never said you did.
far left democrats
There are approximately two of those in Congress.
take a few reading classes. I said it wouldn't be surprising if you did. I never said you did.

in before you and emperor, the local conservative apologists, defend the patriot act.
.
Uh, that's completely within his bounds. I thought he banned Fox from interviewing and access where other stations were allowed. If he just banned it on military owned TV-Sets, he's within his rights as a commanding officer, I believe. Not a military lawyer, though.
It's probably legal. It's just not a smart move.
.
that doesn't = you've supported the patriot act
that doesn't = you've supported the patriot act
You said I would defend it. And so, you're saying I support it.
You said I would defend it. And so, you're saying I support it.
it wouldn't surprise me every other issue you're right there to apologize
it wouldn't surprise me every other issue you're right there to apologize
You're going in a circle of logical fallacy.
it wouldn't surprise me every other issue you're right there to apologize
Gambler's fallacy. And besides, where have I ever "apologized" for anyone or anything?
Gambler's fallacy. And besides, where have I ever "apologized" for anyone or anything?
We're Americans. We dont apologize.
Gambler's fallacy. And besides, where have I ever "apologized" for anyone or anything?
lol... just lol [editline]11:20PM[/editline]
We're Americans. We dont apologize.
unless it's to BP
lol... just lol [editline]11:20PM[/editline] unless it's to BP
I've only apologized to BP because BO has them over a barrel.
BP should have its American assets liquidized. The fact that you even try to defend them shows how naive you are.
BP should have its American assets liquidized. The fact that you even try to defend them shows how naive you are.
So we should nationalize a foreign business? Okay, Mr. Chavez. What's the next step? What happened in the gulf is a terrible thing, but the government is making BP fight this with one arm tied behind their back. How about working to clean up the spill first, then we can figure out how to sue them into oblivion?
Did I fucking say nationalize? Do you even know what liquidize means? It's funny because this tool things I'm a communist.

Well about fucking time.
Liberal: howing or characterized by broad-mindedness; "a broad political stance"; "generous and broad sympathies"; "a liberal newspaper"; "tolerant" THAT'S insulting?
That is not what the liberals of the 21st century are. They believe in social equality, a Robin Hood-esque belief that the rich should pay to help the poor, regardless of their choice. They believe that the government will have the answer to all of life's problems. They want a life of Big Brother having a say in everything they eat, say or do.
So we should nationalize a foreign business? Okay, Mr. Chavez. What's the next step?
wut
What happened in the gulf is a terrible thing, but the government is making BP fight this with one arm tied behind their back.
uh, no, they are giving them every fucking thing available to clean this up
How about working to clean up the spill first, then we can figure out how to sue them into oblivion?
uh, they are
Did I fucking say nationalize? Do you even know what liquidize means? It's funny because this tool things I'm a communist.
If BP chooses to liquidate it's assetts, fine. If the British government thinks so, that is between them. But the United States has no right to do anything with a foreign private organization's property and funds. [editline]04:43PM[/editline]
uh, they are
Uh, no they're not. The US is only just this past week allowing existing equipment available to participate in the clean up. They have been looking over BP's shoulder for the past 2 months, questioning every step of the way, and instead enlisting government agencies to take over. The US Government is also playing this off, over dramatizing where appropriate, and watering down where needed.
That is not what the liberals of the 21st century are. They believe in social equality, a Robin Hood-esque belief that the rich should pay to help the poor, regardless of their choice.
Actually that's Keynesian economics, not liberalism.
They believe that the government will have the answer to all of life's problems. That tinfoil hat is a bit too tight on your head. and for the record, I'm not a liberal
BP is no longer a British company. I said its AMERICAN assets. By disregarding safety regulations, BP has broken the law. A fine won't do anything; therefore its assets should be liquidized.
No, I'd be a fucking psychopath if I rattled off your address and said I was gonna cut you open and dance around wearing your entrails as a suit.
no, you're insane if you think that Keynesian economics and tolerance means big brother. may i add, it's ironic you used big brother as an example.
no, you're insane if you think that Keynesian economics and tolerance means big brother. may i add, it's ironic you used big brother as an example.
It's ironic?
It's ironic?
Yes. It is ironic.
It's ironic?
you know exactly why
you know exactly why
Irony would imply it's unexpected. You didn't expect him to use such an analogy?
