You should give opera a try some time if you think chrome is so great.
Chrome is very bleh, and is still too buggy to use for anything serious.
At least chrome is better than firefox.

buggy? it's incredibly stable and functional in my opinion. the only real bug I know of is that it wouldn't close properly on windows sometimes.
Opera is where it's at bro.
Fuck yeah, Chrome.

brb using Firefox.
This thread has convinced me to try out Chrome.
Thanks everyone. :buddy:
Been using chrome as my default browser for about a month now. The extensions are sweet, they just install on the spot, no restart required.
Tabs crash every once in a while, and for some reason if I leave it open for a long time the audio stops working, but other than that it is awesome.
I agree, it's not like it has any distinguishing features like multiprocess or the V8 engine.
Which Safari had both before them.
For those who have used Firefox for a while and feel it's slow, you may want to try Vacuum Places Improved; a cold start was a lot faster than before using it, and I'm now no longer considering Chrome for speed.
Well, at least for now.
I use Opera :smug:
how so? the way I understood your post, you were saying that because there was a check box that meant that everyone who installed safari was making a conscious decision, and apple was superior for that reason, and I was saying that that isn't necessarily the case. I didn't mean to saying anything about the effectiveness of either tactic.
I'm saying that checkbox being there and already checked by default is the equivalent of no marketing since as you said most users are idiots and will blindly click yes to anything their computers asks them too without actually checking or understanding what is happening.
I use Safari
Chrome is cool (I love how if one page crashes, it dosen't fuck up the whole browser), but I do miss the massive extension support from Firefox.
I think you can get a plugin that makes all FF addons work with chrome.
E: I've only heard about it, I'm not sure if it exists.
I moved from Firefox to Chrome about a month ago, but the problem I have with Chrome is when I type something into the address bar, for instance, the name of a Youtube video, a site that I previously went to, or even the title of a thread, it doesn't come up most of the time. I think it was much quicker to do in Firefox than Chrome.
Firefox is better.
It's not better stupid... It's the best!
It's been a day or so and so far I'm liking chrome. I'll think about using firefox again in a few years when 4.0 comes out.
I'm thinking of switching from opera to chrome but i just miss how amazing opera really is. It's like a better version of firefox, except it DOES have a few problems every once in a while with random websites, just because people don't code for compatibility with Opera.
I can't switch to a browser that doesn't have NoScript.

This. I really would like to switch off of FF but I'll wait for the new version of Opera to be released.

Google Chrome sucks. It crashes on websites constantly. I've gotten BSoD using it. It uses more RAM over time. Back to FireFox!

Never happened to me
I've recently switched from Firefox to Chrome, and I must say it's much and much better.
The "baww no extensions" isn't really an issue anymore. Lots of things are being ported to Chrome currently.
I'm not surprised Chrome knocked Safari out of the top 3.
I did that during the summer because firefox ran like crap after a update. And chrome is the best.

It won't help your grammar however
Bleh, i HATE chrome
It's even worse than safari because it's just an overhyped shiny browser
OOH LEWK DA TOP BAR DUZNT LUK LIKE MICROSAWFT EETS SO PRETTY!
Whereas FIREFOX however is neat, organized, and has the fun little box for downloads.
I'm not sure about the hype but It is a quite slim looking browser, About the same as firefox in those regards,
But its much faster than Firefox, and with some nifty extensions

At least I try a little bit. :saddowns:
I also just noticed how shitty that post was in grammar, I forgot the word is, fixing.
The only issue i've ever had with chrome is slower flash performance. Everything else is great. It's so streamlined and open compared to firefox/IE.
I prefer firefox over chrome. But chrome is still a damn good browser. Kinda like chocolate ice cream and vanilla. If i had a choice, i'd pick chocolate but would still gladly eat the vanilla.
Chrome ftw
chrome makes porn more easier to hide
Switched over last year, never looked back.
i need a panel showing whats the difference between every browser
i just dont see a single difference between them
heck, i use IE7 because i just recently changed from IE6 and i see no problems
whats the difference?
I love Safari, it's perfect for me.
