I stopped using chrome because it couldn't remember more than 4 pages of a tab's history.

You actually like keeping tab history? Someone's bold...
I tried chrome earlier, but I just couldn't stand the Omni box, nor the devs' bizarrely aggressive stance on its features.
I still use Firefox because I simply see no killer reason to move over. Chrome does everything I want it to but so does Firefox.

It also has a similar issue with incognito mode, where it doesn't remember closed tabs period. It's a minor issue, but I haven't seen anyone complaining about Firefox's private browsing letting you reopen tabs.
I haven't had much issue with Chrome other than flash crashing more often on it.
Firefox is a pain though. If you're just browsing the web with it, then I guess all the add-ons make it nice, but when using the developer console and writing out all the CSS and having to use a whole new tag for mozilla which can be limited with the newest features made me stick to Chrome.
Either way, as long as it's not IE, then it's good enough for me.
i don't like chrome due to the memory leak, i always gotta restart my pc if i keep lots of sites on chrome opened for a few hours, firefox and hell even IE don't have that issue(althrough firefox does have a bit).
Honestly, I can only name two advantages of Chrome over Firefox, for my personal use
1) You can sign into Google Chrome, syncing everything. I don't use it too often, but when I do, it's nifty.
2) Incognito Browsing is a separate window. Last I tried it, Firefox converted the whole browser into an InPrivate session. You can't have a regular window, and Private window open at once. Either one of the other.
I'd wouldn't switch to chrome cause i'd rather not have embedded vimeo videos autoplaying instantly for no reason.
and firefox has themes.

Garry fixed that ages ago.

So does chrome.
There really isn't anything Firefox does that Chrome doesn't now, Chrome even has a good selection of plugins/addons now.
Some of these recent posts seem as dated as the old posts
Firefox is quite good and I'd rather support Mozilla than Google so IDK it's just a web browser.

And opera does incognito browsing in separate tabs.
That honestly sounds too convenient. I'd get confused. :v:
It's not a bad thing. Just seems unnecessary.

firefox is so much more stable and doesn't have horrible performance issues like chrome, but i'm forced to use it because certain plugins that i use constantly aren't on firefox
eg fullscreening a twitch stream on my other monitor and having a game running on my main one drops frames by like 0-40% depending on the game, while firefox doesn't impact performance/smoothness of any games
smoothscroll plugins also aren't always smooth in chrome (and there's only one that works with 120 Hz monitors, which you have to edit some settings in chrome just to even get it working properly), like with webpages with a lot of elements and they use a shitload of cpu
People only use Safari because they have to or don't know any better. I'm forced to use it at school and its just awful.
Firefox 4 lyfe. Minimalistic chrome can go suck a dick.
EDIT: However I do occasionally use Chrome, I a french forum for this game I've been waiting for (The Trench: 1916), and the automatic translation is nice. There is an English forum as well (I'm the highest poster there) but the Dev's primary language is well, French, and they do most of their communication there.

No, thats Safari's job.

Firefox has that sort of function as well.

They do have a fairly bad habit of rolling out updates which reintroduce a memory leak though. Although it's not near as bad as it used to be.
Since 2005 I had been using Firefox, in 2010 I switched to Chrome and in 2012 I used Opera for half a year, then went back to Chrome and now am using Firefox again.
I love Opera's sidebar, it's really good if you got your bookmarks oraganised in folders. Chrome is great, but sadly got loads of sound glitches on my end.
Fiefox had a shit phase for a long time but has gotten a lot better lately, so I will keep using that until I find a reason to switch again.
I would say Opera is my favourite, but since they are using Chrome's renderer I get a shitload of glitches regarding YouTube videos/sound.
But overall all of these are damn fine Browsers and It's all up to personal preference. Just make sure Adblock works 8-)
Does Chrome have AdBlock and NoScript? I'm just waiting for Chrome to have those to change, they're the only reason I use Firefox.
Yep, has a few addons that act as greasemonkey too, like tampermonkey
why do you need greasemonkey when chrome can just execute scripts on its own
why do you need greasemonkey when chrome can just execute scripts on its own
Because people don't realize that to install scripts you have to drag it into the extentions page.
When chrome first came out it was laggy as shit and I couldn't use it at all but now firefox and chrome have switched places in that respect for me so I now use chrome and its pretty good.
God, I hate Safari so much. I've had to switch to new Macs at work several times and I always attempt to use it before downloading Chrome, but it's just SO FRUSTRATING to use. I can't stand it.
It's still missing features every single other browser has had for years now.
I'll take new IE over that shit any day. The new IE is probably competitive with Chrome and Firefox, but people don't want to believe it since they can't make truthful jokes about it then.
the moment chrome came out i was all over that shit
buggy and memory leaky firefox was annoying but there was nothing better
