Time to kill myself now.
i hope they completely ignore the EU because the impotent rage that will result will be better than any of the star wars films
There's a shit ton of story in terms of prequel but as a sequel I can see nothing but bad things
Star wars: Episode Negative 1 A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away... A few kids make a super secret club called the "Jedi order", excluding this one asshole kid that always ruins everything. In retaliation, he created the Sith, a unofficial after-school organization bent on getting the Jedi in detention.
Does this means disney now own indiana jones too? Are we gonna see more of that as well :(
To quote Darth Vader: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
except it would have been 32 years after episode 6 (in real life). the actors are all way too old and didn't age well
Makeup can do wonders, Hamill's voice is all they need to have him in the film. As for Carrie Fisher, not so much.
rip republic commando 2 i barely knew u
The Yuuzhan Vong were the ones with the army of dog-sized beetles or something that killed Chewbacca and conquered Coruscant, right? If so I'm not really sure how they would be able to pull off a movie set in the Yuuzhan Vong war,and I sure as hell don't want to see more prequel movies
Kingdom Hearts with Yoda...
Yoda vs Sephiroth
Further proof that George does not care about star wars any more.
Didnt he himself say he dreams of releasing more Star Wars movies?
So there is absolutely no way that it can be good? Why, just because it isn't 'one of the originals'?
Because nobody knows how to make a good Star Wars movie any more. Unless Disney hires a guy to say "NO!" to everything Lucas suggests, the movie is doomed from the start.
So there is absolutely no way that it can be good? Why, just because it isn't 'one of the originals'?
Because the story's complete. The original trilogy had a complete story, front to back. There was no reason for the prequel movies, they turned out godfuckingawful, and there sure-as-shit is no reason for sequels. I really would be open-minded if it were in the universe at a different time, but I don't want Shia Lebouf as Luke Skywalker, thanks.
according to the Press release Lucas isn't the head of LucasFilm anymore, so they could say no if they wanted to.
Pixar Star Wars could be alright couldn't it? Edit: Also, Star Wars confirmed for Kingdom Hearts 3.
And thusly, all Death Stars are now shaped like Mickey Mouses head.
I'm just hoping that they use the style from the original trilogy. Everything from buildings to ways that lightsaber duels were fought. Who am I kidding... :smith:
- ok then -
I see it as a good thing...I've always been a huge star wars fan and even though we've had some shitty movies there's still been plenty of other good stuff to enjoy, like KOTOR. We have no idea what they're doing with this movie, for all we know it could be a reboot or have entirely different characters. Disney bought marvel, that worked out fine...I think people should stop freaking out and see it as a good thing. Just imagine, another Star Wars movie NOT directed by George Lucas, am I the only one getting hard just thinking about that?
I thought Disney helped produce The Avengers? That was a fucking great film. Behold everyone, the woman in scantly clad armour that you used to masturbate over
Watch the next Star Wars movie be a musical. With a cameo by Robin Williams.
I seriously don't believe this. wtf.
guys. disney-owned marvel made the avengers i think more star wars will be ok
plinkett save us all
since pixar has gone down hill i don't think they have made a good movie
Yes, they made one shitty movie and suddenly everything's gone downhill. Hey, have you even seen Brave? I think everyone needs to sit down and look at the bigger picture. Disney's been doing perfectly fine in the movie category: their recent animated movies have been pretty good (Wreck it Ralph, the most recent, is doing really great with the critics), and apart from the tween stuff, they're putting out good content. This also says that Lucas will only be a consultant, and that Kathleen Kennedy will be the executive producer. Let me remind you she was one of the executive producers behind amazing movies like Roger Rabbit, Back to the Future, ET, the first three Indiana Jones, etc. I actually have high hopes for this. With Lucas out of the director's and hopefully the writer's chair, maybe they'll bring in good people that can actually make a good movie.
This is literally the worst news I have ever heard in my entire fucking life. I'd rather get my home destroyed by a hurricane than to see my childhood film series get fucked in the ass with a cactus any further.
Holy crap. Now I know how the Marvel fans felt. Aw well, merchadising and Expanded Universe material's pretty tame for me nowadays, nothing wrong with-
Star Wars Episode 7 is targeted for release in 2015
... ... ...Oh, sweet merciful crap... Okay, this is too much. We do not need any more Star Wars movies, the ones that exist tell exactly all we need to know about the series. It is pointless to see more made. F*** whoever thought this was a good idea. I am not going to see any of these new films. At least not until I hear anything good about it.
