jesus fucking christ im dying here
this guy most love his job..
There's such a thing as court ordered therapy.
Im not saying they cant force him to attend therapy, im saying he wont ACCEPT what the other person is telling him.
But what's locking him up going to do? Why not force him to go to a therapist instead of forcing him to go to prison?
Again, you can't get help if you don't want help. Even if you're forced to see a therapist, if you don't want to see a therapist you're just going to lock down and shut up for whatever length of time they force you to see said therapist. You can't help Chris Chan anymore, because simply put he'll never accept anyone's help. He's been approached god knows how many times by professionals who offered him help and he's always turned them down claiming he was able to sustain himself, or he would get impossibly angry when they mentioned his autism was actually closer or similar to Asperger's (which he claims is a fake disease invented by people who want to "steal the fame" of autism). If he commits a crime (which he has) then it's prison for him. He may have been able to dodge it a few times and may be able to avoid jail once again with his recent pepper spray assault but the next time he fucks up he's going to be in for a while. Reminder that this is the guy who tried running over a shop owner for kicking him out of his store.

Did nerdchan get control of the sonic twitter?
Okay now it's too savvy, like it's just some guy from the internet rather than surprising cheekiness from a faceless corporation.
There's no proof that he'd be an asshole even if he wasn't autistic, but like... There are plenty of autistic people who are nice. It's not enough to say for certain, but you can make judgments based on what you have to judge with, and I personally agree that the dude would be a jackass autism or not.
It's not just autism. He's the target of a strangely obsessive fanbase(?) who go to great lengths to systematically observe and categorize his life and to troll him. People have created fake identities and kept in touch with him for years just to fuck with him. Basically he's been trolled...like, a lot. He's had a pretty unique experience. I'm no psychologist, so I dunno if it actually could have any significant effect on his behavior, but it doesn't seem like it'd be healthy for someone with severe autism. Also I've heard he's got shitty parents.
hell half the people who get in contact with him literally try to help him improve his life; the edgy idiots like bluespike are long gone
Yeah, I read about this! Chris-Chan has a lot of people who follow him around out of like an obligation. They've been involved with him for so long that they've developed like a familial bond to him. They were once trolls but like they're not even trying to harass him anymore. It's really weird, and they literally notate every single thing about him on the internet. Chris-chan is like, some strange specter of the internet.
That's what they want you to think. Seriously. This whole new thing where it's ~some cool dude~ running the Twitter account is just a new kind of viral marketing campaign. Something Awful got it spot on.
Yeah, but they made it too obvious and it's not fun anymore.
A shitty upbringing and autism is a bad combo. My cousin has autism, and not the "I really fuckin like dinosaurs" kind. It's debilitating. People saying "fuck him he has had plenty of chances to get help" are just making excuses to continue riding the guy. That's not for a bunch of Internet arm chair psychologists to decide.
[t]https://db.tt/33MtqjU5[/t] Yusssss
a fishing pole and a live frog? You got your self a deal! Edit: What type of frog?
if Chris was put in a cell there'd only be 3 rocks which he'd refer to as sonichu, rosechu, and jackie

Also I've heard he's got shitty parents.
The community following Chris hasn't really done anything in years to mess with him. Ever since his father died in 2011, it shifted primarily to just following him and documenting his various activities. Really he's just like a celebrity at this point, just a large, autistic, and mentally unhinged. True there was a person known as Thetan, who played the role of many different people Chris was communicating with online. But even that wasn't malicious, she used her large amount of identities to create situations that were designed to try to help him with his problems. This all however ended last year when he stopped communicating with the primary persona, Renee, and telling her that he hoped her and her boyfriend would die in a fire. Note he never even figured out she and all her other identities weren't real, it was simply prompted by her innocently mentioning that he could do with seeing a psychologist. When his house burned down, there was a big gift package sent to him to help him with it. He's also made money off the people following him with Sonichu medallions he's crafted and sold for around $40 or so a pop, autographed drawing, and more recently poorly cobbled together Sonic amiibos in the form of Sonichu. The community is very much against attempting to mess with him, and even trying to interact with him period at this point. Most of the entertaining things he has done came about entirely unrelated to interference by others. His blue arms crusade and macing of the Gamestop emplyee was entirely his own. The time he hit a man with his car years ago was just due to a personal grudge he had with a local business owner. Chris will continue to do stupid crap even if the entire community surrounding him died suddenly.
a fishing pole and a live frog? You got your self a deal! Edit: What type of frog?
Golden [sp]poison[/sp] frog. Have fun!
Okay now it's too savvy, like it's just some guy from the internet rather than surprising cheekiness from a faceless corporation.
Still impressive that they got a PR job :v: Also it's a confirmed /v/irgin, he was posting earlier today.

I don't know what the fuck is going on. But i fucking love it.
Whoever's running these accounts is super self aware and I love it.
Whomever is the genius behind Sega NA's community department, I'm willing to bet that person is the ultimate snarky shitposter.
you caught me
I read the Cwcki all the time at work and I'm confident when I say Chris is just an asshole and generally a shitty person. He has high functioning autism that he uses as a crutch to never take responsibility for his actions and live off the government.

Reading the wiki on Chris-chan is an icky and depressing experience, and I found myself more disturbed by the lengths people would go to in their quests to harass him than anything he himself had done. If Chris is at the point of being dangerous to the public, placing him in jail or an institution would be for the best. I can't deny that. But I would hope most people understand that there is something very wrong with him (mental illness + a poor upbringing) and that it's not as if he's knowingly being malicious. I feel like people who just dismiss him as an asshole either don't want to feel any guilt for hating him or don't understand how severe mental disabilities can be.

The entire debacle around chris chan being so gullible and believing everyone was already over by late 2010, as far as I'm aware. He was already fucked before he even got to the internet, and he was fucked far after the internet seeped into his life. As for his parents, they're the main reason why he's so fucked, honestly. His late father wasn't exactly a good father and his mother is an overbearing sheltering idiot who refused to get proper help for his autism and instead enabled his latent egotism to the point where Chris is actively persuaded the entire world is about him and that he's got a worldwide fanbase (rather than ironic readers who make fun of his hilariously bad comics and shitty OCs). CWC is a very strange artifact who floats around the internet, and sometimes appears in real life in a genuinely uncomfortable fucked up reminder that such people exist.
(they have a term for it but I forgot what it is).
Ween, i believe.

I think A-log is the term used for people who cross the line and try to hurt Chris or otherwise take the idea of proving that they are better than Chris way too seriously.
