are republicans seriously trying to see how much stupid shit that can do?
This would not be good.
I'm not trolling.
then you're just a fascist theocrat.
The United States was clearly founded as a secular nation and not founded on religion, christianity or otherwise. The US is a secular nation and it should forever stay that way. Countries that are theocratic deprive thousands and thousands of rights, freedoms, and give people the ability to misinform millions.
Over my dead body.
when's ralph nader gonna come in and whoop some ass?

I would call him a theocrat, but he has shown no signs of being a fascist.

Being a theocrat is not much different than being a fascist, now is it? Both result in the general loss of freedoms for a number of people, while the motives are different, the results under both systems are generally the same.

A "Christian nation" could simply imply that the overwhelmingly majority of the nation is of a Christian faith. No where he did he say he was for the loss of freedoms or anything.
You're making unsupported assumptions based on one small statement he made.
I for one will vote for Mitch Daniels, he does a lot for our state school funding!

Maybe they'd vote for Palin because they agree with her. There are a lot of republicans that are better than her, but I'd still vote for her over Obama.
He's talking about the establishment of fucking christian ideals into the formation of the country
christ all mighty, is there anything that DOESN'T go over your head?
The biggest problem with the economy isn't caused by the "free market" but rather the government helping big business while ignoring everything else. It's cronyism, and big business essentially controls the US government now. Political donations by corporations should be banned completely, even maybe individual donations. Corporate lobbyism should not exist whatsoever.

How would "fucking christian ideals" be established "into the formation of the country" if the country is already established?

I guess you don't really understand what a theocratic revolution would entail.
I guess you don't really understand what a theocratic revolution would entail.
So you're saying that if Palin, god forbid, does get elected as president, there will be a sudden "Christian revolution" that will successfully sweep the nation?
I really doubt it.

I'm not saying that's what would happen, but if a theocratic revolution were to take place, it wouldn't be Palin leading it I'm sure.
And Palin being elected would be disastrous for so many reasons.

There are too many different Christian sects. It would break up into feuding before it even got some moderate success.
Probably descending the whole nation into worse religious chaos than the Thirty Years War.
You know a presidential canidate is bad when their own political party doesn't even like them.

ok, scorpious
since your brain is literally soup, let me clear this up:
you have people, land, and a document.
if you combine them, you create a nation, mostly based on the document
if you put influence from X into said document.
said document will make the nation run on X style ideals.
So if someone says Christianity is X, then what does that leave us?

During Bush/Reagan eras, there was a huge spike in christian dominance in the
US.

You honestly believe there will be "christian amendments" made to the constitution? You underestimate the secularity of America.

Define "Christian dominance"

By Christian nation, I don't mean taking away any freedoms or rights that we have. No forcing anyone to do anything. I'm not saying making other religions illegal or looked down upon. I'm just saying it'd be nice to have a president who will, and will assign people who will think more about morals and values and such.

you don't need Christianity to have morals and values

the empty wordsmobile
morals and values and such doesn't mean one single thing
you don't need Christianity to have morals and values
Yeah but there are things usually only Christians support, such as being pro-life.

Yes they do.
oh so morals and values means things republicans support
in other words you want a republican presidency
I didn't come here to debate. I'll continue discussion here, but I'm not going into a flame war.
Yeah but there are things usually only Christians support, such as being pro-life.
That's a good thing?
