let's put it this way: is calling a straight man a faggot homophobic? i think most would agree that yes, it is. you are insinuating that he is homosexual as a negative thing. (and don't give me any of that louis CK bullshit because even he said that he's trying to cut down on using it) when you call a man a bitch, what does that mean? what does bitch mean in that context? "bitch" doesn't mean just mean "bitch". a word can't mean itself. historically the word has always referred to women, originally referring to a female dog, so i think it's reasonable that when you're calling a man a bitch, you're comparing him to women or at least some aspect of femininity as an insult, much in the way that faggot uses homosexuality as an insult. and if faggot is homophobic, i think we can extrapolate that bitch is sexist much in the same way. of course, when you turn these words on the people they're meant to apply to, the effect is worsened. you're turning actual aspects of their identity against them.
