I think it was in WW1, This one dude was saved by a journal he kept. Bullet went right through it.
Jokes on him, the guy was actually aiming for the iphone all along. He was jealous.
Allah dammit! Osama never let us have these!
He probably had an Otterbox case.
If Sully in uncharted can survive being shot in the chest with only Drake's journal to stop the bullet, an iPhone can stop anything.
One could create a power armor by simply taping a lot of 3310 together.
Anti power armor tactic: Call all the phones.
This reminds me of an old Tv show I used to watch as a kid... I think it was Bonanza but I can't remember. The guy had a bible or journal in his front pocket and it stopped the bullet from hitting him in the heart.
I feel this video is relevant. Must've been a 3GS
taliban saved him from iphone
He now praises the iPhone
Far Cry 3, anybody?
He was shot, bleeding profusely, nearing death. iPhone didn't do shit but also get hit. No different than a D-Ring being clipped by a round as it hits you
Back in Vietnam, my grandpa was severely wounded by a mortar round that exploded in front of him. His life was saved by a silver cigarette case in his uniform's front pocket which slowed down a piece of a shrapnel just enough to prevent it from hitting his heart. We still have the cigarette case with a hole punched through it, but the piece of shrapnel was sitting next to my grandpa's heart for the rest of his life, unable to be removed as the operation was deemed too risky.
He and his friends joked they should replace their body armor with iPads."
Now every soldier can be the six million dollar man.
He was shot, bleeding profusely, nearing death. iPhone didn't do shit but also get hit. The protective cover he had on his phone made it so the glass didn't shatter, making his wounds worse.
So his phone saved him by maybe making the bullet probably not hit an artery, but it still went through it like hot butter.
Reminds me of Don McCullin. He was a photojournalist back in 'Nam. Got shot with a fucking AK47 and his camera took the hit. He went on with taking photographs like it was nothing.
Relevant
Dropping the phone from 1 meter does more damage to it.
He was shot, bleeding profusely, nearing death. iPhone didn't do shit but also get hit. No different than a D-Ring being clipped by a round as it hits you
Near death and dead seems like a pretty big difference to me.
One less iphone to worry about
Guess we're posting bullet-stopping-object stories now? Here's one http://www.174ahc.org/jenn-00.htm
I doubt it had that effect but one never knows, ballistics get crazy at times. He's lucky he didn't get lithium poisoning and other fancy stuff, tho.
Yeap and he got hurt really bad. The iPhone did not block the bullet entirely. He almost bled to death. But would he have died if there was no iPhone in front of the bullet's entry point? I don't know, so maybe.
Cover our tanks with this. yes.

And my Uncle Johann's life was saved by a lighter he had stolen off a dead SS soldier.
Power armor of nokias makes you unstoppable.
Cover our tanks with this. yes.
Read the article, slowed bullet, didn't stop it, anything dense enough will slow a bullet.
Read the article, slowed bullet, didn't stop it, anything dense enough will slow a bullet.
So you're saying we should cover our tanks in tanks?
So you're saying we should cover our tanks in tanks?
Yeah man, we'll call it: The Super Tank M1A6 Super GT Tali Killer.
Boondocks was right.
"Using iPhone's ~patented~ bullet stopping capability"
Now apple will sue kevlar
