That second picture from the bottom looks like a large blackhead.
trespassing is a civil case, not a criminal one.
You can't even be arrested for it.
I'm pretty sure if you just hop a fence and bolt across a runway at an international airport, you're not going to civil court. I realize we're not talking about Heathrow here, but there are varying degrees of severity to trespass.
I'm going to assume you're right that it's usually a civil crime in the UK, but depending on the specific circumstances I think trespassing could very well become a criminal matter. Obviously, the situation presented in the article does not qualify for that.
If this had happened at night, I could almost understand. But the jail time seems deserved in this case... The article doesn't appear to mention if he was drunk, taking any medication, has any mental or personality disorders etc etc. I have to wonder, because normal people don't just grab a rifle and start shooting pellets at people because they THINK they might be up to no good.

Yeah there are things which make civil trespass criminal. Running across a live airport would certainly be criminal, endangering aircraft etc.
Fuck that guy, seriously. And just when I wanted to start proper parkour.
Tresspassing isn't cool, but shooting people isn't cool either. Overreaction much?

I have no idea what that guy was thinking though, couldn't he have shouted at those lads before he took the shot, who goes around with a .22 near a building site anyway?

was hellbent on believing that this was the games discussion section as my million firefox tabs are open.
I can't wait to see this guy at a marathon.
I hope he doesn't forget his minigun.

Marathons normally take place on the street, not on building sites
Well at least they didn't get seriously injured, from the images they seem rather chill after being shot. :v:
If you see a 'robbery', or someone suspicious run by, with the adrenaline you can't always just think logically. Though to be fair, it was an overreaction, and the guy said he was guilty for doing it. It's not like he's Hitler v2.
Like they are responsible for their actions, you are responsible for yours. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are thinking clearly, and not bringing harm to innocents.
Do you seriously get an adrenaline rush every time you see somebody you think looks suspicious running?
That's paranoia, to an extreme and unhealthy degree.
