lol 18k to have severe health issues that might possibly not be reversible.
Why do you guys think they're giving 18k to lay in a bed.. it's because you won't be able to walk and your heart will be too fucking weak to anyway. That's why they're paying idiots that think 18k is worth it. They want you to be very healthy as if you were an astronaut going into space.
I am 100% sure that NASA have researched the dangers for this test. And that they have the proper knowledge and equipment to handle it.
The people they will be testing would probably have to be in peak/good physical condition. Much like modern astronauts are.
Just signed up for it!
I did it for 2 days once, I went insane every minute after that...
Don't do it, Its essentially a study on muscle atrophy. Your body deteriorates and it takes months to recover. I personally wouldn't do it for a million.
I could've earned $470,000 by now

Maybe they will sign me up for robotic augmentations after my arms and legs stop working.
Holy shit....this sounds like a dream come true for me since getting a job appears to be out of the question.
Can't say my friends or family would approve though.....

"whats your job"
i lie in bed all day and play vidya games
"you're unemployed?"
no i work for nasa

Its not that they stop working, its that your muscles deteriorate and you have to relearn how to do basic things. Its like waking up from a coma.

I just told my family I signed up for this and they told me I'd fit the job perfectly. :v:

And?
I'm a lazy fuck but there's no way this is worth it. That's over 2 months out of your fucking life for money that you'd probably waste in 2 weeks.

Hohoho, that's one funny family ya got there
And?
Its not like you lie down for a while and play video games and you just get to resume your life. it has detrimental effects on your body.
they provide rehab, wingnut
.. rehab for fourteen days isn't going to do much.. wingnut?
Go ahead and do it if you're so sure that you'll be totally fine.. even thought the entire reason that they're paying people because most people realize that it's insanely unhealthy and is generally not a good idea if you have any source of income.

Someone has a lack of willpower. Shit.

Lol. Tell me how it goes after you're done.

I won't be able to man. I'll be too busy squirming on the ground in that cool 18k.
Jokes on you I don't need to move to enjoy that money.
I would lie in bed that entire time, making money while I was making money. Probably do stuff like drop-shipping on Ebay and all of those little bitcoin generating activities :v:
For you gents that have spent more than 3 days in hospital before, you'll get how shit this would be.
What about the toilet?
Question: How are they going to handle toilet-time, or bed-sores, or the multitude of problems that will arise from something like this far before the 70-day time-period is over?
dude is that kyle gass
What about the toilet?
Bedpan, just like any bedridden person uses
70 DAYS?! That's fucking crazy goddamn.
I had to stay 4 days on a bed in rehab after surgery once and I was SICK of it by the time I was transferred back to my room and was given permission to move again. Even with video games, internet and whatever else, 70 days is way, WAY too much.
IMO that many days classifies in starting to go crazy-tier

The same way they handle patients who are bedridden for the rest of their life

no i work for nasa
Which also begs the question.....how do you go to the bathroom if you can't leave the bed? O_o
urine bags, diapers, spongebaths, these things are the least of their worries.
Can I at least call the ladies and get them in bed with me after factually stating that I am working for NASA?
What I'm legitimately interested in is how long it'll take for those people to go back to how they were before (or even IF they go back or not)
