Jackass intends to bother everyone by open-carrying at a local zoo.

I don't see why people are so scared of guns, this is why we need mandatory gun training, that way if you are going to bitch about other people's rights you at least know what you're talking about. and yes, these are unalienable rights, you try and restrict one right and it'll only be a matter of time before more are restricted.
But seriously, if you guys trained with guns you would understand them a hell of a lot more than you do now.

it's mostly because of how much people deem them unneeded and how much damage they can do even to just your limbs

seriously just look at this shit, guns are terrifying, and everyone has the right to be scared
and this is one good reason mandatory gun training should just be a thing and that's that, as well as what you said.

IMO I think the US has a problem with extremes when it comes to guns. It seems like the majority of people who have a very strong opinion on gun control either over idolize them or absolutely fear them. They're just a tool
Another good thing about open carry laws is that they make it so if someone accidentally reveals their concealed carry (ie bending over and exposing a behind the back carry), they can't be charged with brandishing their firearm.

I've trained extensively with guns and I still think open carrying your firearm into a zoo or an airport makes you a fucking retard.
From the title I thought it was going to be that inbred-looking jackass that carried a fully loaded AR-15 with a 100 round capacity magazine into the Atlanta airport.
Smith said he will demand to know what Missouri State Law he has violated if he is stopped from entering
surely if it's a private zoo they can refuse him entry for any damn reason they want? I'd say carrying a gun is a pretty good reason
ah nvm, i missed the line saying it's public. still. don't be a fucking mong and carry a firearm around fucking families and their children
Legal or not, I can't look at open carriers without thinking they're dicks for it.
For a second I thought the show Jackass was back and their first new stunt would be walking around town with guns.
If you're so worried about you safety just by a side holster and buy a handgun Jesus Christ.
I mean, I carry but I hide it as much as possible. I'm not gonna go to the fuckin Target with my AR-15 just because "a terrus might git me!"

open carry as a concept is bad. Concealed carry is considerably much more accepted. If and when the time comes when we need to shoulder weapons when leaving the house, I'm sure most laws would fly out the window anyway.
if you can't conceal your handgun then it's not fit to be a CCW.
Thin people, women, and anyone living in Texas during the summer would disagree. You just can't always conceal a firearm.
I didn't buy jeggings to conceal anything
I just had a thought, what if someone gets startled because they didn't know about the 'demonstration' and shouts HE'S GOT A GUN and there happens to be a closed-carrier 'good guy with a gun' type nearby

the person who shouted that shit would get in a fuck ton of trouble of inciting panic, it's a "falsely shouting fire in a movie theater" situation. Unless the person openly carrying was brandishing, a random person has no excuse to pull a stunt like that. that person would be responsible for any harm done as a result of it and possibly face a civil lawsuit.
