The Germans have made a 512 GBPS fiber optic network

To be honest with you, I think a connection like this you'd be able to stream ram.. so technically you could sell temporary RAM.
;35024503']Get that shit here. I'm tired of my 7 mbps when I'm promised 30.
7 millibits?
Gib to usa plese
I want because I don't know why.
Still not getting why that part of our anthem is forbidden. it's the best.
Because 19th century Facepuncher Nietzsche said it was pretentious as fuck.
Live in Germany? Check.
Internet? Check.
New Technology?
Wait a sec, gotta order dis shit

Your SSD won't be able to keep up with even a 10 Gbps stream.
I wonder how fast RAM writes but I don't think it's 512 Gbps :v:

Super fancy Corsair Dominator 4GB 1600MHz DDR3 Dual Channel Memory: ~20GB/s
Actually that's bandwidth, write speeds are likely lower.
Download entire internet overnight.
And yet the deutsche Telekom still fails to deliver anything faster than 3 mbit/s to my house.
Completely useless to me since my hard-drive cant write that fast :v:
[release]Telekom said that a collection of 3,696 CDs could thus be transferred over a single optical fiber — a strand thinner than a human hair — at the same time using the new technique.[/release]

atleast one carrier knows their target audience

You might want to call your internet provider and ask them to check your "remote sensor" out near your house. That happened to me and they came out for free, apologized, and boosted my speed by about 14mb/s
Not "that kind" of German porn I hope.
You mean the ones with fecal matter or the ones with urine?

I sure am lucky with my 1.0 MB/s, and that's perfectly fine for me.
Not even the fastest DDR3 RAM in the market in quad channel could keep up with that
The only thing that can is VRAM but then that's between the GPU and chip (the GPU is connected to the PC with a ~15GBPS bus)
90kbs represent

This is actually an issue, what is the point of fast internet if we reach the point where a HDD is the bottleneck?
The town I live in has a project where telekom starts providing gigabit as soon as 2300 people preorder.
I've had fiberglass (100Mb/s) for like 4 years now, am not complaining, I almost never reach max speeds.
None of the standard hardware in modern (mediocre) pc's can handle 500 Mb/s. Ram, hard disk, processor... None of those would be able to work with those speeds.
Maybe on a high-end computer, but I doubt you will ever need that.
Uuh, RAM is loads faster than that. A standard 1333MHZ DDR3 stick can push 12.8GBPS and a standard DDR 400MHZ stick can push 3.2GBPS
Granted, these are bottlenecked by the memory controller but they still are tons faster than 500MBPS

The thing that would bottleneck this is your NIC before anything else
The most you can get out of a home NIC is 1GbPS (around ~100 MBPS)
We'll forget about the whole nazi thing if you give us this technology.
DDR3-2133 is like around 17 gigabytes per second if I remember correctly, this thing is 64 gigabytes per second.
Too bad you can't store bits on a fiber cable eh.
But you're going to need something with some serious power if you want to transfer anything at those speeds.

Why would that even bother you today?
Not surprising. You know the Germans always make good stuff.

ugh, if you can't recognize a joke just get out of facepunch

Otherwise, stop telling people to get out...
And I still get only 185kb/s dl speed at almost the same cost of some good services because Verizon won't extend cables several hundred feet to our row of houses.
Still don't even have FiOS where I live.
Best I've got is 1 MB/s
Completely willing to pay for FiOS if it were in this area too.
