I've never gotten the whole "shelter kids" thing. All it does is make reality be an even bigger shock to them in later life. They should be exposed to everything the world throws at them, be it profanity and violence to the wars in the Middle East. We do them no good by blocking out all the bad and only showing them the sunshine and bunnies.
