im mainly flabbergasted by your average joe who argues the contrary
The parts of the country that the oil industry provides a lot of jobs to tend to be pretty terrified by the prospect of being out of work. These people will defend almost anything that provides a bit of job security.
Drain the swamp and pour it directly into the president's cabinet.
"but...but...she defended a RAPIST!!!! and LAUGHED!!!" Holy shit, Trump supporters either need to start realising they fucked up now, or at least admit they were braindead imbeciles happy to let corporations fuck over this rapidly declining planet. [editline]7th December 2016[/editline] Speaking of which, I wonder if any of them will actually have the testes to show their face here. They tend not to when it's anything that makes Daddy Donald look bad.
The cult of personality surrounding Trump will make half of /r/the_donald just change their views to fit his. Instead of going "well, shit, that's a bad choice, and I'm going to criticize him for that choice," they'll go "well who knows who Hillary would have picked, the fact that the liberals are upset means that climate change probably is a rigged hoax just like the elections we just won."
anthropogenic climate change, a thing that's supported by virtually every scientist globally, a thing that's pretty much accepted as a fact everywhere other than the united states seriously what the fuck is wrong with the united states of fucking america
Is the correct answer politicians?
im mainly flabbergasted by your average joe who argues the contrary
a lot of it has to do with conspiracy theories and distrust in the government/scientists.
Denying climate change goes beyond religion, wayyyy beyond it.
true, but there are a lot of people who believe that climate change goes against their religion, which is that god created the earth, so why would he want to destroy mankind, its most sacred creation? I've seen many, many arguments about that.
Why wouldn't god give stewardship of the earth to humans? After the garden of eden debacle he seemed pretty much like "you made your bed now get fucked in it".

Still draining the swamp like a champ, I see.
Swamp is gonna kill us someday
Maybe Trump can come and build a wall against the water here in The Netherlands aswell then? Would be even better if he would make the ocean pay for it.
Also it's so sad it's laughable. HILLARY HAS BAD SECURITY. Trump doesn't want to live in the secure white house because there's no gold shitter. Trump wants to use his personal plane the walls of which he can get shot through. Trump is living near the wtc and has had an assassination attempt on him from a british guy AND has stated that an assassination was a good way of preventing someone from picking a judge. HILLARY IS IN THE CORPORATE POCKETS DRAIN THE SWAMP. Trump's so deep he plays pocket pool in public. He's just giving out these posts as rewards or whatever to the people with the biggest conflicts of interest because they all want to make money from the position. HILLARY IS GOING TO START A WAR WITH RUSSIA! The whole thing's based on her saying she wants a no fly zone over syria and the reaction of one military guy. That guy didn't even get told if it would be diplomatic or whatever he was just asked if the usa could do it and said you didn't have enough military planes for that. Now trump's managing to use diplomacy to break down ties with china by mentioning taiwan and shit. If there's a riot over there it's basically his fault now in the eyes of the chinese. For better or for worse it was a "break down this wall" moment that challenged china directly. Oh and benghazi, is she a warhawk or what being so non-interventionist that she fucks up. CLINTON FOUNDATION IS A FRONT FOR CORRUPTION. That money doesn't go to the campaign, it's distasteful that you can get some brownie points in with them by donating and having that money then go to charity but you're better off than with the Trump foundation doing the same and using the money for the sick and needy in lawsuit settlements. What a disaster pick. Everyone here warned y'all.
D R A I N T H E S W A M P
This phrase is just going to be a snowball of irony to the point where I see it being a meme reply in just 1-2 months.
30% is hilariously too much
For a population of 320 million, not too bad, plus its way up than it used to be.
For a population of 320 million, not too bad, plus its way up than it used to be.
Idk man, the bigger the population the bigger that 30% gets.
seriously what the fuck is wrong with the united states of fucking america
conservatism
earth during godemperorkingprinceduke trump's 24,230th term
"but...but...she defended a RAPIST!!!! and LAUGHED!!!" [editline]7th December 2016[/editline] Speaking of which, I wonder if any of them will actually have the testes to show their face here.
Dissent is not a crime.
no but criminal negligence is. having the responsibility to protecting the environment and health of all americans and choosing not to is negligence. The signs are there already, Trump will be forced to deal with a major metropolitan area being permanently flooded, its only a matter of time because we have cities that are partially flooding on sunny days, accelerating climate change through inaction and preventing discussion and public policy that would have abated it will get people's lives ruined and we will find them guilty someday
“You could see from him an increasing effort to delegate environmental regulations away from the federal government and towards the states,” said Ronald Keith Gaddie, a professor of political science at the University of Oklahoma.
if corporations can dodge taxes by playing states off each other, and can get states to waive their tax duties to keep jobs, what assurances do we have that they won't just do the same strong arm tactics to avoid regulations, further more, it will only make interstate comerce fucking harder because everyone will have to deal with 50 different standards and 50 different regulatory agencies (or more)
Still draining the swamp like a champ, I see.
no one understands, all this time he really has just been looking to drain an actual swamp to create more coal
Swamp is gonna kill us someday
replacing the swamp with a bog so our lifeless corpses are preserved for eternity
D R A I N T H E S W A M P
Funny that he wants to drain the swamp by flooding people close to the Ocean. :v:
I hope those who voted for Trump and those who sat at home and did nothing are proud of themselves
Instead of getting mad at the voters why not set out reforming the democratic party? Drop the identity politics, get rid of the corporatists, go back to helping the working class, restore the constitutional liberties and field better candidates?
Instead of getting mad at the voters why not set out reforming the democratic party?
All valid points, but that doesn't excuse nor does it minimize what Trump is doing with stupid shit like this.
You either do what is needed to win or you do not. Right now by saying
stupid shit like this.
you are ignoring the very things that allowed the Democrats to lose to this turd named Trump in the first place. Either offer a better product or go out of business. that how it works.

The moment I have the free time to do so, I'm going to see what I can do to get more involved in politics. That doesn't mean that I don't have the right to bitch about a politician I loathe.
we gon die
Instead of getting mad at the voters why not set out reforming the democratic party? Drop the identity politics, get rid of the corporatists, go back to helping the working class, restore the constitutional liberties and field better candidates?
why not do both
You either do what is needed to win or you do not. Right now by saying you are ignoring the very things that allowed the Democrats to lose to this turd named Trump in the first place. Either offer a better product or go out of business. that how it works.
Where did I imply I was ignoring stuff? My first words were literally "All valid points", but if I need to be more explicit then fine - Clinton shit the bed because of her loathsome entitlement and hubris. I am on the same page as you. Again, going back to what I said - that doesn't make Trumps picks okay.
The EPA when it was founded by Nixon was more progressive. Fucking NIXON.
The EPA when it was founded by Nixon was more progressive. Fucking NIXON.
tbh Nixon was a pretty progressive Republican compared to what we have today. His administration established OSHA, EPA, expanded Social Security for the disabled and elderly among other things. He'd be a center-left Democrat by today's standards.
