[QUOTE=yawmwen;36093088]Actually it might make it easier since these workers would now be able to compete with the migrant workers. A major problem right now is that a lot of illegals work for below minimum wage. This makes it so the average American can't compete. If the supply of workers for [editline]27th May 2012[/editline] It cut off half my post...ok. Anyways, if the supply of workers for <Minimum Wage goes down, employers have to increase wages to compensate.[/QUOTE] i don't really understand. because illegal workers will be able to officially enter the job market and thus work in actual minimum wage jobs rather than just doing under the table stuff like contracting.. employers will raise wages?

When the demand for lower paying jobs decrease, employers will have to raise wages otherwise they won't be able to produce anymore. However, this could still be economically detrimental because the cost of food and other goods could go up if overhead increases.

This will increase the number of people who will be in a position to demand higher paying work. [editline]27th May 2012[/editline] If the market would be saturated from all illegals become legal suddenly, the market is already saturated and you just haven't realized it yet.
If he manages that, I'll register under the republican party, become a conservative, and will give fundies a blow job.
