You should give two shits that people are being denied their rights and are fighting for equality, and are using gay pride as something to empower themselves in a world that persecutes them. 2. Blame at this stage is unimportant, it's going to the systems that actively oppress us and fighting for those systems to be changed is what's important. Religions don't write laws.

Gay pride parades are held because of the fact that being gay is looked down upon. It's a power in numbers thing.
