autechre looks pretty smart
fuck the other guy has glasses
it's not a thread of people laughing, it's this perpetual bullshit that occurs every time apple does anything and gives people a reason to act like little childeren
if you're gonna criticize apple, then criticize it based on reality. don't criticize it for really stupid bullshit, especially if the OP doesn't even give a fuck and totally starts stretching the situation to earn nerd cred.
that's exactly what it is, and i am chilled out, but frankly that joke isn't funny anymore
Insulting apple because the white iphone costs more - stupid and you're totally right
Insulting apple because of how they're handling malware - acceptable and you're totally wrong

yeah i guess that would be true if they were handling malware in a crazy or super weird way but in reality they're just saying they shouldn't try to deal with the malware themselves and just tell the person to get anti-malware which isn't really unreasonable
you're overreacting zeke, chillax

Not providing assistance in dealing with malware when you bill your product as malware-free is pretty low
It's like selling a water heater that says "WILL NEVER LEAK!" and when someone calls you to say their new water heater is leaking you just say "NOT OUR PROBLEM"

well not really, i mean they do provide assistance with getting the malware away, it's just apple recommends the person get the proper tools to do it instead of expecting apple to do it
the advertisement part is quite tricky but it's just marketing which is full of insidious lies anyway.

I don't really understand why people who have a hard-on for windows are so upset about this. do you ask microsoft for assistance with viruses? no. it makes no sense to.

Actually, I did ask them once. And yes, they did help. And yes, they removed it.
