As Elstumpo said too, the NZ ones are designed very well too. Got a bit confusing when I was over there though - kept accidentally handing over 50's instead of 5's because they were pink haha.

I'm Canadian and even I think this new design looks like monopoly money.
It looks like an amature design, IMO. Very messy looking.
Everyone I've spoken to has said it looks like corn. Such a terrible design. Slapping that odd blue line on it will just make it more annoying to quickly sort and bet it'll be harder to tell if its a fake.

The idea is to make them as complex as possible so it's increasingly hard to counterfeit.

I don't know either, I think they decided to be politically correct and just got some random art student to create something.
Our money was design painstakingly to be good now it isn't.
I've actually started collecting fivers because i like the old ones.
