I politely disagree; the way I see it, abortions should only be practiced when birthing of the child puts the mother's life in danger. I find abortions outside of this reason inhumane, and somewhat selfish, after all, adoption is always an option.
Also, blastocysts are used for stem cell research, not fetuses.
yea i know about the stem cell thing, but im not completely sure what I think about abortion i just know that there are to many people on this earth and there are to many kids trying to get adopted
What do you feel when abortions are done in rape cases, or for eugenical purposes?
I'm sure he's in favor of that, but didn't remember to mention those
Abortion imo should be allowed all the time, it is your body, and your body's resources being used, so it is YOUR fetus for the time being.

The American adoption system is horrendous
and what if the mother is raped?
abortion is one of those things that isnt black and white like rape and murder, so i can see why some people wouldnt want it. Even though i would say a huge percent of people that dont like it only dont cause there faith leader said it was bad
What do you feel when abortions are done in rape cases, or for eugenical purposes?
In the case of rape, I'm not really sure. After all, the fetus is a result of something of great pain, and essentially a hate-child, but yet, just because it is a result of that pain, doesn't mean it should be killed, that should be reserved for the rapist.
Eugenical, on the other hand, depends on what the child is afflicted with. If the child is confirmed to have a disease that lowers the quality of life for the child, then yes. But if it just has an undesired trait that does not lower the quality of life for the child, no.

I see it more as an singular dependent human, and is still entitled to "human rights", but due to lack of a coherent, tangible, consciousness (at legal abortion age), these "human rights" should be limited.
The American adoption system is horrendous
If the populace of the adoption system keeps on growing, it will eventually not be ignored. And it's not like every adopted child grows into a criminal, either.

Abu al-Zahrawi and a whole network of muslims who looked to his research.

al-Zahrawi was the first man to map out human organs.

Uh, surgery isn't around because of Islam because someone who happened to be Islamic invented it.
(Note, I don't agree with the poster who said no good can come of religion, I'm just saying that just because someone is a religion and does something, doesn't mean that the something was because of the religion.)

Was it Allah that told him how to do such things? Because otherwise it wasn't religion that did that...at all

It could have been a motivator, but still.
It could have been a motivator, but still.
Even so, it isn't like his God told him how to do it, could have motivated him, but not taught him how to do it.
God doesn't exist, so there's a problem. al-Zahrawi was highly religious. Saying Religion hinders progress is silly when it didn't for these people.

This really religious guy created an ENTIRE field of medical science
Taking atheism to the extreme would include forcing it on others. That isn't smart.
Then we would just call them "Christians that don't believe in god".
Come on guys (Extremists). I'm against abortion this is the wrong way to go about it. Don't go killing peeps.
I'm constantly sickened by my own faith. I hate being a Christian sometimes, I swear.
So then give up the bullshit lie that is your 'faith'?
Giving Christians a bad image, what happened to peaceful protesting...

don't be a douche
I think it's disgusting how some religious extremists treat abortion doctors, most of them clearly don't seem right in the head for a start, and heck, don't most religions treat murder badly? And, it's not like the doctors take the fetus' and batter them in the head or something, they do it before it's had time to develop enough nerves to truly feel pain, so... It's not exactly cruel.
I mean sure, whether you're religious or not, if you don't agree with it you don't have to keep your opinion in, but stuff like this is just plain wrong and way over the top.
wut if jesus was redy for his second coming and he got here and was abroted and was all Y U DO THAT

look at me, i'm reborn9, i'm an intolerant fuckwit.
I actually like the term "Christianist". The far-right coined Islamist for extremist Muslims, extremist Christians should get their own title as well.
Don't we just call them Phelps-fellatio-ers?
This really religious guy created an ENTIRE field of medical science
I dont have anything againsts religious people and they can do great things im just saying that religion itself is stopping many people from thinking scientifically
My pastor talked about this last Sunday. He said that things like this bring wholly unchristian in nature yet being fallowed and started by so many Christians was baffling and that and I quote
" You where told as a child that 2 wrongs do not make a right. God is the same way. If you sin over a sin, you have still sinned. People are turning away from religious beliefs in droves because some christians have themselves forgot the core of the word of god and have taken his will into their own hands. You cannot help save someone if you yourself need saving."
It was basically a rant sermon about how chrstian morals are forgotten by crazy far right christian zealots. Was a pretty good sermon.
but yea, crazy people like this make up like 1% of the christian population. Just like how crazy terrorist musliums are a fraction of the religion.

Not at all actually. The " the earth is only 2 thousand years old!!!!" type chrstian is a stereotype and most of us are not ignorant to science. Myself being a geologist major and my pastor once being a astronomer.
So if some girl gets pregnant at 16 these people want to kill the doctor that made it possible for the girl to have a normal life and the baby never goes through a poor childhood.
Way too far christians.
You can do your little redundant heckling you do outside of them but this is too far.
I wonder if this could count for a threat.

Tough skittles, that kid is God's miracle. Derp.

Their argument is to put it up for adoption; however, in modern times adoption rates are low and homes are running drastically low on space.
The best choice is to have the abortion to save the child from living a life of possibly never feeling loved and wanted and most likely eventually become a convicted criminal. ( ahaha jumping the gun)
