You do realize that not every person against abortion is christian right?
where did anyone say or imply that they were
I'm all for a woman's right to abort but I've met several atheists who are not.
whether someone is pro-life or pro-choice has nothing to do with lack of a belief in a deity
So women can't have abortions, but Christians can murder people? Isn't that kinda ironic or hypocritical or something?
Emotions.
I can't tell if you're being sexist or not
whether someone is pro-life or pro-choice has nothing to do with lack of a belief in a deity
I really doubt that there's not even a corollary link between belief in a deity and stance on abortion.
I really doubt that there's not even a corollary link between belief in a deity and stance on abortion.
There definitely is, if you're of religious beliefs then you're most likely to believe in the preservation of all forms of human life, and the more religious you are the more extreme you take that.
I actually like the term "Christianist". The far-right coined Islamist for extremist Muslims, extremist Christians should get their own title as well.
It's pretty stupid if you ask me. It's like saying Athiestist.
It is very likely that religion was necessary for early civilization to flourish as it did. However, we have moved far past the point in human advancement where it is no longer necessary. We don't need religion to advance; if anything, it only drags us backwards. The human race, in general, no longer needs it.
I think it's disgusting how some religious extremists treat abortion doctors, most of them clearly don't seem right in the head for a start, and heck, don't most religions treat murder badly? And, it's not like the doctors take the fetus' and batter them in the head or something, they do it before it's had time to develop enough nerves to truly feel pain, so... It's not exactly cruel. QUOTE And, it's not like the doctors take the fetus' and batter them in the head or something, they do it ya there are alot of cases where the fetus looks very much like a baby, and they deliver it and put a spike through the childs brain stem.
ya there are alot of cases where the fetus looks very much like a baby, and they deliver it and put a spike through the childs brain stem.
I think you're confusing reality with an episode of Law and Order
Come on guys (Extremists). I'm against abortion this is the wrong way to go about it. Don't go killing peeps. I'm constantly sickened by my own faith. I hate being a Christian sometimes, I swear.
That's why I'm not one of them. [editline]2nd November 2010[/editline] Holy fuck there were 4 other pages.
I think you're confusing reality with an episode of Law and Order
No dear, I watched an abortion video, it made me sick. How the Dr. could just casually put the metal into that baby. It was a farther along fetus, purely formed. I'm not sure of the exact "timing" of this abortion, but that baby was clearly formed. Not all abortions are performed whilst the fetus is tiny. google abortion. It's not pretty. There is a pic in there showing the piercing of the brain stem.
No, but religion encourages the idea that you're entitled to life, which leads to becoming a pro-lifer.
Aren't you entitled to life? [editline]2nd November 2010[/editline]
No, religion actively opposed the advancing of civilization
yup, in things like medicine, algorithms, psychology, physiology, mathematics and astronomy! oh wait
The doctors should take advantage of the second amendment.
Aren't you entitled to life? [editline]2nd November 2010[/editline] yup, in things like medicine, algorithms, psychology, physiology, mathematics and astronomy! oh wait
religion opposed anything that has people not believe in it. also i dont think you can say religion made those things, that was scientists that so happen to be religious
religion opposed anything that has people not believe in it. also i dont think you can say religion made those things, that was scientists that so happen to be religious
ffs, I use that argument when people say religion impedes progress
No one said it was a pretty. I'm not going to leave my support of it and womans rights because it's "icky"
I'm not trying to change yours, or anyones opinion of the matter. I simply stated how it is. I have actually witnessed an abortion. And it was not "icky", it was terrible. But that's just MY OPINION. What your beliefs and values are, is no concern of mine. I am not trying to change anyones views. I am not going to argue this, Sorry to disappoint.
So it's bad... why?
