This school has some issues, but at least they put effort into their website. Right away you see their mission is to provide a safe environment for all the students.
Also provided is a number to report bullying.

Is that why he'll leave it up to the states to decide whether or not gays are "allowed" to get married?
I take personal offense to this, as half of my family is from there.
But, yeah this principal was a dumbass. He shouldn't have done this in this manner.
lol, you take personal offense to an attack on a political region that doesn't even physically exist?

We'll probably still have doubters but to the guy who wondered why the media isn't reporting on this, have an ABC News link
Better?

I just love when someone big picks on someone smaller and then goes on an ego trip for it. They look like complete tools.
When is America gonna drop the hate?
I herald an insane yet true belief that if you can't keep up with the times(such as this principal) you deserve to die in the dust.
Isn't there a way to go about posting these stories without continuously pointing out what state it takes place in.

You mean you don't want me to mention when someone in Tennessee does something bad? Why don't you want me to mention that this happened in Tennessee? I think the public deserves to know that this happened in Tennessee. Yes, a gay person was attacked in Tennessee and then shortly after someone supporting gays was also attacked in the aforementioned state. (Which was Tennessee)
Tennessee.

Damnit Zeke, you are just too charming to stay mad at, with your insane liberal philosophies.
not surprised everyone in the south is fucked in the head
Now I feel kinda insulted. Now your just lumping anyone from the South in one pile. I would leave this hellhole (Louisiana) first chance I get but Im fairly broke as of now.

attack discrimination with more discrimination, it always works.
I explained exactly why I called into question the story's credibility, right in my... third post. Can you not read? Here, I'll get it for you:

They didn't even attempt to get the school administration's comment on the matter.
So how do you know they did or didn't attempt to ask the school and did or didn't get a reply, which was or wasn't omitted? Because based on the actual release you can't really say any of that, chuckles.
I know you're a fucking expert at reading between the imaginary lines but give it up.

I assume they did not attempt to get the other side's version of the story for two reasons.
1) It was a press release from the ACLU. They probably would not have tried to get in contact with the principal for his side of the story since that would be a conflict of interest (when I wrote a story for a high school newspaper about a legal issue that was facing the school, I went to the nearest lawyer's office to get an expert source on the issue. Ironically, the one I picked happened to be the school district's lawyers as well, and they said they couldn't comment on anything due to conflict of interest). Again, the whole point of a press release is to attract the attention of journalists and the media so they can do the reporting to the public.
2) The article did not include a statement along the lines of "Attempts to contact the school administration for comment on the incident went unanswered." That's how journalists are supposed to compensate for a lack of a primary source for the other side of the story, as there's not much else they can do in time to meet their deadlines.
If it was my principal I would've called him a closet case

People shouldn't get hit for supporting gay rights is an insane liberal philosophy

If we fail to do so, we might give people the wrong impression: that these things occur in non-shithole states like Connecticut.
Isn't there a way to go about posting these stories without continuously pointing out what state it takes place in.
That's probably the dumbest thing ever, since every state is very different.
Well, that's what he gets for thinking he has rights in a public school.
I really hate the public school system. It's so fucked up.

It was a joke. Obviously this is a horrible story.
