I hope anon brings AT&T to their fucking knees for this. Blocking access to 4chan is pretty much the best way to piss those people off.
Not 4chan, but b
The only thing I can say honestly is for you people who act like this is nothing to worry about, it's going to eventually fuck you over in some way or another? Do you know what the concept of net neutrality is? It's basically restructuring the entire internet itself by commercialization.
Imagine your TV, you pay for basic cable, you get, o, say, 70 channels, maybe you pay extra for HBO, this is the eventual goal of net neutrality, to have you paying for a basic package of websites that don't make small children cry, E.G., Myspace (lol at the paradox here) Disney.com (or whatever the fuck their URL is) Youtube, and maybe you pay extra for some other websites.
I believe this is correct is some form, my memory of that old GD thread is terribly foggy.
I foresee a lot of vandalism to at&t's property in the near future... be it from just spammers, hackers, or real-world destruction of property.
next: porn sites?
AT&T is about to lose a lot of customers. Didn't they think this through?

Lol.
I'm an at&t customer, you insensitive clod.
AT&T is about to lose a lot of customers. Didn't they think this through?
Not all areas have access to multiple high-speed ISPs.
Best we can do is wait it out until everyone has multiple options in terms of ISPs, in which case one ISP blocking a site means another ISP will probably allow it and start stealing their customers.

Exactly, you pay for websites as if they were channels. That is only going to leave maybe a few hundred thousand websites at best. Businesses will die, services will disappear and the users will just end up asking themselves "Why the fuck did we let this happen".

I wouldn't say "a lot" but contrary to popular belief, people above the age of 16 do browse 4chan, and /b/, and do engage in some of their more disgraceful activities, some may even be full blown /b/tards, those are the people who're just going to say "Fuck AT&T." Although, honestly, I don't know who the fuck would use AT&T's service unless they were the only high speed internet provider in your area.
I'm using AT&T currently, i could careless about the site they blocked. The thing that bothers me is, they're practically doing censorship. I pay monthly for my shitty service, i should be able to do what i wish with it.
Great. Oh well, I'm switching back to cable once i move to my new house.
I can confirm it, just tried going on /b/ and I time out but not on the front page of 4chan. Not as if I really care as the place is a shit hole and all but it still pisses me off and considering we pay for their best internet package I think the least they could do is uncensor my internet. My internet has been super shit speeds recently too. I'm going to go bitch at AT&T for fucking with my interwebs.

I see that as a totally unrealistic goal of net neutrality though, do the fucking isps understand that the time to try this slimeball bullshit was 17 years ago when the internet was a collection of a few thousand websites that just as many people used? The internet is now too important to commerce, society and culture to be destroyed.
Haha
By which I mean, of course "Bitch at them on the internet and maybe do a DDOS attack or two, then give up."
Like I said earlier, 4chan isn't the issue here.
this is stupid because there are like 30 other active chans

And only 4 people on the forum get that joke. You're so underrated, Johnny.

Exactly. Why pay for a service if they're going to make things go "their way".
I'm an at&t customer, you insensitive clod.
Cry me a river.
This upsets me greatly, especially since where I live its either AT&T or dial-up.
Fucks sakes. Broke mah automurje.

Sorry, that message was drenched in sarcasm.
I don't care. (serious face)
Like I said earlier, 4chan isn't the issue here.
Anybody who actually wants to discuss the topic of net neutrality understands that, the people just dropping into the thread to say "haha bye bye 4chan" don't really understand the gravity of this.
Also, my bet is that GayT&T is going to have to back down on this and try to tell people "Oh, yeah, sorry, that was our mistake, we never meant to do this." when in reality the only thing they never meant to do was cause a massive backlash.
Either they fucked up or what but i'm still able to get on there

Oh good.
I had figured so, but I thought a scathing remark would be on the safe side.
I'm AT&T and i can't get on the website, its not a problem now, but once they start banning more websites, its gonna really piss me off.
Oh good.

You are my favourite person on Facepunch.
In some areas internet providers have a monopoly. Some people only have one option for high speed internet; there needs to be more competition then assholes like AT&T might lose customers.
This, It's either ATT or slow 60 dollar a month satellite internet where I live.
what about net neutrality and stuff
