I'm of the opinion that even CP and terrorist sites shouldn't be blocked. Hell, I can still get to the KKK's site if I want.
I'm with you here. Unless a site is bad enough to be shut down by a government (exploiting children and such) it should be visitable. Blocking sites isn't going to stop pedos from being pedos, or terrorists from being terrorists.
:words:
Letters won't do shit, Eric of Strongsville, Ohio.
well thats the idea of net neutrality. it's like buying a cable package for your computer. wouldn't it be awesome to pay "xbox live data transfer fees" alongside your monthly subscription? :haw:
But they can't account for every single online service like that.
KILL THE MESSENGER HE IS OF /b/
Letters won't do shit, Eric of Strongsville, Ohio.
Don't even try to pull an internet tough guy you can find my address bullshit. It's easy as hell, google my name you get my website, myspace, facebook, google id, and open id and the later two have my address on it.
I'm just the messenger, sure nothing of value was lost but you need to look at the bigger picture, online censorship has begun in the United States and this is the top dog, once they take /b/ out, nothing will stop them from doing whatever they please. Remember that big thread about net neutrality about 2 or 3 years ago in GD? Well that process has begun and it'll only be a matter of time until they censor something you actually care about, luckily this is the first week and this can change.
I fucking lol'd hard.
Don't even try to pull an internet tough guy you can find my address bullshit. It's easy as hell, google my name you get my webstite, myspace, facebook, google id, and open id and the later two have my address on it.
k i'll find you and rip off your pubes while u sleep jk
/b/ fucking sucks, AT&T owns, thank god
I'm sorry, isn't your avatar in support of the OIFY? What the fuck is the difference between /b/ and OIFY? If this censoring shit sticks, the OIFY will get done in too.
if you don't want them to block things, unsubscribe. otherwise you have no right to complain unless you're like a stock holder or something if they lose a ton of business from censorship then they'll stop blocking websites
I'm not weeping over /b/, I'm weeping over the fact that someone who's interested in only money gets to decide who says what I see or don't see. Call me a heretic but I wouldn't mind seeing some of that shit, much less a site full of sociopaths like that wiped off the face of the earth, forever. On the other hand, to mean its only a matter of time before they start censoring something else. If they get support from Washington about this... which will make me flip... then the possibility of choosing another ISP won't be an option if they decide to oh... ban any websites of alternate ISP's, anything that criticizes their lobbyists... etc.
What the fuck is the difference between /b/ and OIFY?
alot.
if you don't want them to block things, unsubscribe. otherwise you have no right to complain unless you're like a stock holder or something if they lose a ton of business from censorship then they'll stop blocking websites
Why the fuck would you unsubscribe for them blocking /b/ of all places?
Do you really think you're superior to everyone else? Look in a mirror mate, you're just as nerdy as everyone else here. (no wai mang iv got niec kar nd hawt girl)
The people here are different from the people there, they're a whole different breed.
Why the fuck would you unsubscribe for them blocking /b/ of all places?
Read the thread, apply directly to forehead.
Why the fuck would you unsubscribe for them blocking /b/ of all places?
Because the people who run the corporation actually took action rather than just stating it in their Terms of Service unlike every other ISP out there.
Why the fuck would you unsubscribe for them blocking /b/ of all places?
The website doesn't matter at all, it's that they're doing the censoring...
B is nothing I visited, but I wonder how far censorship will go... After all, once you block one thing, blocking anything else becomes so much easier.
Why the fuck would you unsubscribe for them blocking /b/ of all places?
no you miss the point, if you want to complain about net neutrality unsubscribe from your provider otherwise you have no right to complain, then they'll continue to walk all over you and continue to censor what they don't like if you unsubscribe they have a reason not to censor.
alot.
How so?
OP needs to install flashing lights and sirens around a "THE RAGE IS NOT ABOUT /B/! THINK OF THE CHILDREN!"
I'm assuming we're the nerds, right?
No, they are. At least this forum has some deceny and maturity, that place is a hell hole.
The people here are different from the people there, they're a whole different breed.
A whole different breed of stupid is still stupid.
I'm sorry, isn't your avatar in support of the OIFY? What the fuck is the difference between /b/ and OIFY? If this censoring shit sticks, the OIFY will get done in too.
Are you thick? OIFY is a copy cat of FYAD just becuase 4chan/anonymous faggots come and spam threads doesn't mean it's /b/ get your head out of your ass, this goes for everyone.
Because the people who run the corporation actually took action rather than just stating it in their Terms of Service unlike every other ISP out there.
Yeah I misread his statement. My bad :buddy: [editline]07:37PM[/editline]
no you miss the point, if you want to complain about net neutrality unsubscribe from your provider otherwise you have no right to complain, then they'll continue to walk all over you and continue to censor what they don't like if you unsubscribe they have a reason not to censor.
You too :buddy: [editline]07:37PM[/editline]
The website doesn't matter at all, it's that they're doing the censoring...
And you :buddy:
How so?
well what do you think is similar, please enlighten me.
A whole different breed of stupid is still stupid.
Actually the people here are smart, sure sometimes /b/ has its funny moments but for the most part they're idiots. [editline]10:38PM[/editline] Also /b/ and the OIFY are nothing alike.
Are you thick? OIFY is a copy cat of FYAD just becuase 4chan/anonymous faggots come and spam threads doesn't mean it's /b/ get your head out of your ass, this goes for everyone.
Lets take a look at some OIFY thread shall we. shemale hentai.
