How is it misogynistic? In this case it's the woman who can choose to have multiple partners. If anything, that's empowering. It makes no sense to claim misogynous here by anyone.
1 Woman several men is polyandry. Polygamy is 1 man several women. The splitting of inheritance might be an argument for it being misandrous/misgynous. Imo polygamy is only misogynous in places where the general attitude toward women is shitty anyway. If a good system was established for a state recognised marriage between more than 2 people then I see no issue why it would be misogynous or misandrous (aside from busy bodies making it their business to oppose things on an arbitary basis)
I don't really understand why people who want to date/fuck other people would even marry. Marriage is something of the old, if you're going to live a liberal lifestyle, why tie down to marriage? Seems rather pointless to me.

Maybe cultural if you're culture/religion/community accept it. (some religious fundimentalists or mormons or something)
State recognition/benefits. Maybe cultural if you're culture/religion/community accept it. (some religious fundimentalists or mormons or something)
Cultural will never fly in a poly marriage unless you're muslim or something. Especially not among mormons. As for state benefits, the reason they exist is because marriage only includes 2 people. If it's more, the benefits will most likely be stripped as it otherwise makes no sense to keep them.
The only reason to be married is state benefits and making babies, take those away and there's really nothing to it.
The way some people here shout 'CUCK' at anything other than a traditionally monogamous two-partner relationship is really tiring.
because raising someone else's kid is the text book definition of a cuckold?
Not everyone views it as 1+1. Nothing wrong with having multiple partners if everyone is on the same page. This whole idea of marriage between a man and a women comes from religion. We were never designed with that in mind anyways. As well as it really shouldn't be illegal to be with more than one person. Works out great if most people are happy.
Oh sweet so you're OK with me fucking your wife? Sweet man! I'll even let you watch too if you really want. If she gets pregnant though that's on you I'm not looking after it.
because raising someone else's kid is the text book definition of a cuckold?
Adoption? Step parents? those tibetan folks who do the polyandry seem to manage without a buncha teens yelling cuck at them everyday. Wouldn't suit me, but I was brought up in a predominantly christian society where monogamy is imprinted on you from an early age and even stuff like casual sex is castigated as being a "slut". If someone else IS ok with it and it does no harm, why is it your job to tell them its not ok or mock them for it?
because raising someone else's kid is the text book definition of a cuckold?
A husband of a woman who is committing adultery is a cuckold. It's used as a term of derision for someone that isn't 'man enough' for their wife to stay faithful, which is basically saying it's the man's fault if his wife cheats. But more relevant to this discussion, there are plenty of people who have mutually agreed atraditional relationships, and shouting 'cuck' at it grinds my gears because it's basically saying if you're not in a traditional two-partner exclusive relationship you're actually just passively accepting being cheated on. Never mind that there have been historical societies based around complex family structures or multiple husbands to one wife, clearly they're all just beta males. I have zero desire for such a relationship but it's none of my business what mutually consenting adults do.
I see theses advertisements all the time about "chinese women looking for singles" on youtube and that brings up the question if they are in fact true and aren't just complete bull. Why leave? Is it that bad in china?

To the point that having a girlfriend counts as technical marriage and that's where family court comes into play.
