It's a nuisance if it's in your farm killing your chickens. You then should shoot the little bastard. When it's out in the wild being eaten to death by dogs only to be hung on a wall, you're the nuisance.
The hunts take place on the farmland anyway.
If you absolutely need to go hunting, you should at least make sure to inflict as little pain and stress on the animal you're hunting as possible; Else you're a pretty fucking bad hunter and shouldn't be engaging in it from the bloody start, like these twits.
Shooting a fox because it's attacking your chickens or other live stock is understandable and I don't mind that, I just dislike the idea of hunting for sport, there's just something messed up about the idea of killing for fun (yet you'll never see conservative complain about that like they do with video games)
why the fuck would you want to hunt this
Because they killed all the wolves off already The only logical conclusion is to start hunting foxes in that isolated island ecosystem
Yep, that's exactly the kind of myth you'd develop when you don't have wolves on your island
There's been lots of talk of reintroducing them to the Scottish highlands to help control the deer population, and I hope it eventually happens. More on point, Horseback fox hunting is barbaric. Controlling vermin population and ensuring the protection of stock humanely is necessary - but we shouldn't kill, let alone rip them apart live, animals simply for blood sport or trophies. Foxes also aren't sadistic killers. The only reason they have a habit of killing loads of chickens at once is because they see it as surplus food they can store away for later, not because they enjoy it.
Bear tastes good, too. Bit porkish, and a little stringy, but pretty good. Let's just stop arguing before I go on about the different animals I've eaten.
I've hunted deer, foxes and squirrels myself, though I've only eaten venison and squirrel meat.

I went hunting a lot when I was a teenager. Not the posh style where you ride horses, have hordes of dogs, and blow horns to alert the fox to start "the chase". I mean 4 guys, 4-5 dogs, and a bunch of nets. You need to kill the animal quickly and quietly, give they dogs, the fox, and yourself the least stress possible. Hunting shouldn't be a sport or a game, you are setting out with the express purpose of ending a creature's life, you should respect the fox when you hunt it. Hunting should also only be done in a ultilitarian capacity, we never hunted an animal if there was no problems with the nearby farms. Hunting shouldn't be fun, and when you have to break an animals neck to end it's pain, using only your hands you understand how horrible it can be. I've never killed a fox myself, we mostly went after rabbits and hares for population control but every now and then we'd have to hunt a fox and it was never a fun thing to do. As someone who has done real ultilitarian hunting sport hunting makes me fucking sick.

I remember seeing instructions on how to cook fox somewhere. Let me look for them. Here, this is pretty good. I'm down with hunting, but having a horde of dogs chase down a fox and eat it alive after it collapses exhausted seems very unnecessary, cruel, and not very sporting.
My friend's uncle legitimately had a wolf problem, but couldn't shoot them. Time is boiling over and now that hunting grey wolves is legal in Minnesota, he's got a blood lust against them and is murdering any that come on his property. He one time broke a coyotes neck with his barehands for attacking his favorite horse. I think hes a bit crazy.

Crazy couple of months, those were.
