You'd think he would be able to defend himself
Whatever arguments you guys make, I'm pretty sure the soldier got the point most clearly. :smug:
You'd think he would be able to defend himself
I don't think all soldiers are trained to be secret operative agents.
I don't think all soldiers are trained to be secret operative agents.
Secret operative agents don't get any Ninjitsu Motherfucker 9000 training while regular soldiers sit on their asses playing poker.
Wikipedia is just a summary written by somebody in the class, usually normal kid has done it, but sometimes a retard has operated the pencil, so you need to look the sources too. But it's correct very often, various professionals know jack shit. (Professionals are just those who can remember what they have read from a book)
The only people who don't trust Wikipedia are people who are too computer-illiterate to check its sources, which is really easy [editline]03:23AM[/editline]
How can you compare invasion of privacy and torture with the justice system? That's like saying if you allow a cop to arrest someone for drunk driving that automatically means people will start having their licenses revoked because there is a chance they are going to drink and drive. There is no correlation.
Just pointing out the fact that you seem to think we can only use the death penalty if we're "really super duper sure they're guilty" would suggest you have no understanding of even the fundamentals of our justice system
Just pointing out the fact that you seem to think we can only use the death penalty if we're "really super duper sure they're guilty" would suggest you have no understanding of even the fundamentals of our justice system
Explain what I'm missing than? One of the most basic principles is innocent until proven guilty, if a crime is committed and there are witnesses who can testify and other evidence like security camera footage, than the suspect has been proven guilty. I'm not saying lets execute every single person who does something terrible, but often it is a clean cut case, and there is no doubt about who committed the crime. THAT is when the death penalty should be enforced. As to cruel and unusual punishment, well, if you take a life, in my eyes you really have lost most of your rights, and shouldn't have a say in how you die so long as it is quick and painless. Like I said, we have people against execution, despite the fact that the people who qualify for it are the lowest of the low. Sympathy for the devil. I understand what you are saying about the appeals, but I think there is a point when the foot needs to be put down. If I were someone stupid enough to resort to that kind of violence to get revenge, I would be more likely to actually do it if I knew that I was just gonna be tossed in prison instead of executed. Especially in cases like the original topic.
The stabber obviously has a mental problem, so he needs to be put in a safe place for a long time.
Coming home, only to get stabbed down by the one you defended so bravely. The world sucks, doesn't it?
I hope they lock away the bastard that did this for a long, long time.
Then by your argument, couldn't Osama Bin Laden possibly be innocent?
It's a possibility. Highly, highly unlikely, but still possible.
