Lol the ultimate source of this is a Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/pages/I-Stand-with-Scott-Walker/111615612250098 and a WSJ Opinion page: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704671904575193930226978178.html
This isn't trustworthy at all. Every time there's a contentious election the right always cries "ELECTION FRAUD!" and it very rarely is true.

When Americans just don't care enough about politics to vote, why worry about election fraud?
Democracy
Democracy is so last century.
When Americans just don't care enough about politics to vote, why worry about election fraud?
Well it's not like we have any real options other than shit or crap.
this is the best thread. EVER

Any time there is a contentious election both parties cry "election fraud." All the way through 2008, people who didn't understand how the electoral college works were implying that Bush had all but taken the presidency by force of arms, and when Obama took over, people who didn't understand how anything works were shouting accusations about voter intimidation and falsified birth certificates.
That said, shredding ballots is a big no-no. If there's actually any weight to this story then this is serious news indeed, but the sources the story seems to have originated from aren't exactly "objective."
Notice how it doesn't say it was destroying Republican votes.
Most likely it was a republican destroying the votes because they're fucking BAT SHIT crazy here.
Also, nothing on local news about that or any other news. I don't believe this source.
In the other vote that took place here in Wisco, it was a near 60% for the democrat, 30% for the republican. Milwaukee I think.
I'm glad my county had nothing to do with it. Some people are so selfish.
My party should win even if that means cheating.

Fox 11 , Wfrv and NBC 26 has no article on this report which is weird.
http://www.fox11online.com/
http://www.nbc26.com/
http://www.wfrv.com/
I did find this however, http://www.wfrv.com/news/local/Recount-likely-for-Supreme-Court-election.html
Those aren't even the local websites... Nbc15, Channel3000, Wkow. Those are.
Op is full of shitty sources, it must not be as big as it sounds since NO local news reported on it.
What the hell Winconsin? This has gone on long enough, and they better not hide in my state again
There have been no reports of anything and a blogspot website is hardly news.
A recount is most definitely going to happen after all the votes are certified as there is a 200 vote difference.
Shittiest source I've seen in ages.
Well it's not like we have any real options other than shit or crap.
Then start a party that is not shit or crap. Turn it around and say: We can do better then this!

The US political system is pretty much designed to ignore 3rd parties.

what a stupid backwards way of doing things
What about independents?
what a stupid backwards way of doing things

See my previous post.
The two primary parties muscle all the others off the ballot debates, so their words and ideas can never really get to the general public. On the chance that a minority party can get onto the ballot, they always get blamed for the associated major party losing by drawing away votes and splitting the base. It's a lose-lose.
Last year in Colorado a very prominent Republican was pushed off the ballot, so he ran as a 3rd party. The Dem took about 50% of the vote, the 3rd party about 35% and the Republican that got 10% blamed the 3rd party for costing him the election, despite nobody really liking him.
Why did could they have been to able to done of this for why the destruction and how ballots?

Yes, but has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?
And Americans wonder why the rest of the world calls them idiots.
-snip- due to fake news source.
Steven Colbert had it on his show, I'm not sure if that makes it any more legit to you guys: http://www.colbertnation.com/the-colbert-report-videos/380597/april-06-2011/wisconsin-supreme-court-race?xrs=share_copy
EDIT: Wait a sec I just realized that the "ballot destroying" wasn't mentioned but that a recount was. Yeah, source is pretty BS.

AP or Reuters needed. Not a tv show (Im serious no news station has reported on this)

Also wanted to address this. Even worse than the preconception that independent votes "split" the bases of the major parties is the fundamental idiocy of the American voter. As I understand it, in Britain, there are those who call themselves "left," "center," or "right," and there are corresponding parties for each. Here in the US, no matter what party you're with, your party is "right," while the other party is "wrong." In the US's retarded version of democracy, there is no room for third parties or compromise in a battle of good versus evil.
:smithicide:
Also now Kloppenburg is no longer in the lead while they certify all the votes (and it will continue to flip flop for the next few days)
