I don't get why this is newsworthy. The pilots over here get into regular engagements, killing scores of Taliban, but they don't get any recognition for their kills. They don't want any either, it is just part of the job. "Big H" might be a future monarch, but he is a soldier right now, and thus simply doing his duty as any soldier would.

Well, the general public are interested in what the royals are doing, it's nice to know what Harry is getting up to in Disneyland Afghanistan. Note this came from October, and he has been flying plenty of combat missions. It's just the one thing The Sun (a paper notable for it's general godawfulness) is picking up on.
