It's a multiplayer game, but the spergs keep trying to convince themselves they can be antisocial and play it alone. [editline]2nd July 2012[/editline] They were obviously cheating and using wine as a cover for their cheating.
All you ever do on these forums is troll. One of these days it's going to get you permad.
PC gaming is dead. Called it. [sp]I know this might seem obvious to some, but I'm joking.[/sp]
This makes sense. I doubt their anti-cheat protection works with *ix kernel.
Good, because anti-cheat systems running on single player are complete bullshit.
Good, because anti-cheat systems running on single player are complete bull****.
Off-topic, but why are you self-censoring? Just say it. Its bullshit. Bullshit bullshit bullshit.
It's a multiplayer game, but the spergs keep trying to convince themselves they can be antisocial and play it alone.
Yeah or I dunno maybe I've been playing Diablo since pre-Hellfire when I was a little tyke before I was even using the internet so soloing is kind of my standard way to play Diablo games but maybe that's it too must be a sperg
I played the whole thing from start to finish alone. Don't see why I should have to play it with other people.
Off-topic, but why are you self-censoring? Just say it. Its bullshit. Bullshit bullshit bullshit.
*User darksoul69 has been banned from Diablo III for saying "shit" on the Facepunch forums. We here at Blizzard do not condone cussing or references to poop. Now excuse us while we cover Nagrand in antelope shit.
I played the whole thing from start to finish alone. Don't see why I should have to play it with other people.
lol bro don't be a sperglord, if you dont play wit friends den you gotta be some kinda nerd
I remember a time when I was considering checking out Diablo III then it was released
blizzard is hurting themselves by denying an entire audience by denying them their product solely they because that said audience uses an certain OS with supportive software to help run the game what made Starcraft 1-2 and Diablo 1-2 (all able to run in Windows, Linux with thirdparty software, and Mac) so great is that you can run them on a computer mainly composed of a just a block of wood and a piece of string, because they're all wonderfully optimized for the mass market, and there's a huge userbase from the Linux community itself
Why would a company do something like this though? All their recent decisions regarding D3 are quite "out-there".
it's still worth buying though, right?
Get torchlight 2, it's made by the people who made the GOOD diablo games, not the people who worked on WoW.
but its linux users, they would have to find free lawyers
Come on guys don't be harsh on him! I'm real big on Linux and even I thought this was really clever!
Why would a company do something like this though? All their recent decisions regarding D3 are quite "out-there".
your guess is as good as mine; my guess is that the software designers at Blizzard are in cloud cuckoo land
your guess is as good as mine; my guess is that the software designers at Blizzard are in cloud cuckoo land
It's not a subscription based game, thus they don't give a shit about you after release, same with the rampant maphacking on SC2 ladder.
Really it seems to me like it could have been a simple error on their part, and that WINE users, cruel as it is to say, would make up a complete minority of the Diablo population and as such wouldn't be that much of a concern to Blizzard.
lol bro don't be a sperglord, if you dont play wit friends den you gotta be some kinda nerd
wow uhm who cares dude i hope you're being sarcastic
wow uhm who cares dude i hope you're being sarcastic
Seriously? I consciously tried to make that as obvious as possible.
Come on guys don't be harsh on him! I'm real big on Linux and even I thought this was really clever!
Actually, you did get me to look back at his post and rate it funny.
It's not a subscription based game, thus they don't give a shit about you after release, same with the rampant maphacking on SC2 ladder.
I don't recall having to deal with any maphackers in SC2. Unless it wasn't obvious at all when it happened.
Get torchwood 2, it's made by the people who made the GOOD diablo games, not the people who worked on WoW.
but diablo 3 is still fun to play right? I might get it when it's on sale. oh well. I'm still super hyped for baldur's gate EH :D
but diablo 3 is still fun to play right? I might get it when it's on sale. oh well. I'm still super hyped for baldur's gate EH :D
Only thing that's worth doing on there is selling in-game crap to rich dumbfucks to earn dosh.
the problem is, LIKELY, Warden and the fact that they can't tell between legitimate cheating and the API's WINE uses. stop pretending that Blizzard employees sat in a board-room one day and said "FUCK LINUX and everyone who uses them!", that's extremely dramatic.
I don't recall having to deal with any maphackers in SC2. I'm just amazed that: 1) They didn't think to test for this. 2) They didn't think to fix this. 3) They decided to treat these people as if they actually cheated. 4) This same system in other games doesn't do this. 5) Wait, why did they force this shitty intrusive DRM on us again? -edit- Now that I looked at it more, I realize it's probably just a few guys trying to get out of a cheating ban. Maybe. Seriously, this is a perfect example of "Nothing is true."
Wine is not a motherfucking emulator.
Wine Is Not a Motherfucking Emulator.
WINME? :v:
WINE uses windows API, it is not an emulator.
i didn't say it was an emulator... WINE doesn't use stock windows API's, it doesn't emulate the API's it supplies its own alternative. they are reverse engineered DLL's and WINE provides its own kernel as well.
WINME? :v:
