Clegg and Cameron have ruined their chances of re-election.
i am of the opinion that the tories won't find themselves out of government come the next election the current cuts mean that the deficit is due to be elminated by late 2014 giving the tories 6 months or so before the general election to plan for it, which will presumably will mean them announcing a whole bunch of tax cuts they've also planned it so the worst cuts are in the first 2 years and then it will tail off oh yes and don't forget that labour will lose quite a few seats (rightly) under the latest electoral boundary review (there are parts of the northeast that are grossly represented in terms of size of constituencies which is why the boundaries are going to be redrawn) i'm not suggesting a tory government is a good thing but i don't see them losing the next election
I was thinking more Lord of the Rings and The Phantom of the Opera.
Yeah that too. I was just giving an example that might hit a bit closer to home with a Facepunch member, if you get what I mean.
Fucking hell, I thought Ireland was bad. This is ridiculous.
Worth remembering the leader of the Labour party would not comment specifically on if he would reverse this decision if he got into power, only that he would be honest about whatever route he decides to go.
of course he fucking won't labour introduced fees why would they scrap them
Worth remembering the leader of the Labour party would not comment specifically on if he would reverse this decision if he got into power, only that he would be honest about whatever route he decides to go.
I'm only basing my observation on previous elections - people will simply vote Labour or other rather than vote back in a party that upset them. It's almost like a huge school council election - don't vote in favour of someone you hate.

If you want to do art for videogames or movies, you should go to art school like gnomon or something, not your local uni.
London's burning, London's burning. Fetch the engines, fetch the engines. Fire fire, Fire Fire! Pour on water, pour on water. London's burning, London's burning.
don't vote in favour of someone you hate.
and yet after the iraq war labour won in 2005
Lol [img_thumb]http://i55.tinypic.com/2vt1t92.jpg[/img_thumb]
I was about to post that, Alan Davies tweeted it. I can't wait for the Liberal Democrats to kick Clegg out :v: When the coalition falls, that is. I love how depressed he looks, constantly when in the House of Commons.
and yet after the iraq war labour won in 2005
Only they pretended they had evidence for that and the population was very split on support for the conflict. The hate of tuition fees rising is pretty much unanimous.
Lol [img_thumb]http://i55.tinypic.com/2vt1t92.jpg[/img_thumb]
Lying Douchebag.
and yet after the iraq war labour won in 2005
Don't ask me... I guess theres no pattern whatsoever to voting trends. Confuses the fuck out of me. gah, politics...
This country is fucked. I am glad to be moving abroad soon. I am also glad I made it through uni before this shit. I am lower middle class so I would get zero help from the government, and my family would have never been able to help me go to uni as they have a mortgage, small children, bills, food, etc to pay for. They can't afford to help me. Poor future students :( I am so mad!
Lol [img_thumb]http://i55.tinypic.com/2vt1t92.jpg[/img_thumb]
Twat.

Like all the prospective students on low income. :( [editline]9th December 2010[/editline] mah automerge
I bet Facepunch regrets that "cheer up Nick Clegg" thread I remember from a while ago.
Lol [img_thumb]http://i55.tinypic.com/2vt1t92.jpg[/img_thumb]
Then. Now: Horses running into school children, angry they have been lied to.
Then. Now: [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/bNVm8.png[/img_thumb] Horses running into school children, angry they have been lied to.
I very rarely see an image that genuinely makes me angry. This is one of those rare moments though.
To be honest, what would the Lib Dems have done if they beat everyone?
Everyone's raving it about it on facebook at the moment.
Everyone's raving it about it on facebook at the moment.
Good. It's about time young people took an interest in politics. If they didn't get riled about something that directly affects their future then I would be seriously disappointed.
Christmas is cancelled, Santa has been arrested
This whole thing is so annoying. Im a student and am going to uni next year probably. However i dont see this as such a bad thing, if you think about it less people wil go to university and therefore degrees will gain back the strength that they are meant to hold, i mean right now pretty much everyone has a degree. Anyway i see and fully understand why theres all these protests, but that guy that was just on the news? "We are from the slums of london, EMA is all thats keeping us from dealing drugs on the street. How are we ment to pay for university" WTF, Has he even looked into university? does he not know that you only pay back once you have a job earning over 21k and even then its only like £10 a month i mean common / Rant
Less people attaining University degrees is not a bad thing? :frog:
Lol [img_thumb]http://i55.tinypic.com/2vt1t92.jpg[/img_thumb]
A politician lying? That's definitely something unheard of.
I've accepted a place at Plymouth for 2011 entry and this is worrying me, when does this come into power? and can they suddenly ramp up the course prices halfway through my degree? At any rate, half of those morons in parliment square don't even look like they go to university and just turned up for a fight.
Less people attaining University degrees is not a bad thing :frog:
How is it NOT a bad thing? What the hell is wrong with education?
How is it NOT a bad thing? What the hell is wrong with education?
The probem is with 'waste' degrees, theres just no benefit of putting someone through the university system and lending them about £26,000 just for them to come out with no/ low earning employment prospects. Art degrees in particular are just a waste.

I think everyone should have the realistic chance to have higher education. Social devides are disgusting.
How is it NOT a bad thing? What the hell is wrong with education?
Edited my post with a question sign to make it more clear I was reacting to what HE said
