I've had this debate with my dad though, whether I should do Computer Science or Games Programming.

A good Games Programming degree will be more Software Engineering but with some games related modules (around 30%) being apart of the syllabus. Some people from my class went straight into Senior roles. With my degree I got a job fairly quickly. It all winds down though to what University you go to. Sometimes the games related course will be better and other times a more general one will be better. Check the syllabus of the University you have your eye on first and make an informed decision from there.

At the end you'll have relevant skils in both general I.T and Games programming.

I wish there were not going to be riots about this, but people will be stupid. Don't see any reasons for riots at all, hurting people and doing damage just ends up costing everyone a lot of time and money,it's not going to solve anything.

No one in the government will listen without serious action. The tuition fees are been increased because we have the least say, imagine the problems if they tried increasing taxes just 2%, now compare it to the 300% increase students are having. Also there is the whole betrayal aspect aimed at the Lib Dems.
