Seriously this. At least burger king actually tastes delicious while clogging up your arteries, while McDonalds burgers are limp patties with less meat than a catwalk model and garnish that tastes like plastic.
but what about Wendy's?!
As is Burger King. Admittedly, BK is less vile, but neither are particularly nice.
Both the Big Mac and the Whopper taste nice to me.But any other burgers from both outlets taste like shit.
The only good thing from BK is tendercrisp chicken sandwich.
I love Burger King. I think a $1.10 burger is a good deal since it tastes better than the crappy mcdonalds "McDouble" Or whatever they are calling it now.
McDonalds is vile.
Wrong. Bad post.
Seriously this. At least burger king actually tastes delicious while clogging up your arteries, while McDonalds burgers are limp patties with less meat than a catwalk model and garnish that tastes like plastic.
The burger king near me is horrible plastic tasting shite that makes me feel physically sick after eating it, whereas the mcdonalds tastes delicious. I think it depends more on the individual restaurants (and the country), but I've never had a good burger king meal.
McDonalds is better anyway out of the fast food business. As for food though, cannot beat a good indian, specifically starlight indian along bargates in christchurch, simply delicious.
I wouldn't mind paying a few cents more for this, tastes better than mcdonalds. But, the 6% tax would really fuck with the logistics of my classes bi-weekly burger run...
But they would make up the profits with the greater flow of customers.
They're still losing money by selling them at a lower price than it costs to make them. And eventually, enough loss means they can't pay for the costs of business, etc because they still have the fixed costs of doing business. (i.e. salaried employees and rent / mortgage for the building) Losing 10 cents per burger on something not everyone buys probably won't drive a franchise into the ground, but I can see where the owners are coming from.
I wonder how much that store hated the guy that ordered 100 burgers from Burger King. Edit: http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=688187
I remember that. Good thread. Good memories. :v:
I just got one of those today as a snack when i went for a walk. If the staff is properly trained they can make them fast enough the wages do not effect the math enough and can turn a profit for better trained franchises. Also this, they are more likely to buy more than just a single burger, they may buy a drink or something.
You have a point.
Burger King sucks ass, their hamburgers taste like shit. McDonalds might be more childish, but their hamburgers cause your mouth to have 300 tastegasms because they taste so incredibly awesome!
Wouldn't say that McDonalds is good in my opinion, even though everytime i eat it i feel like someone put poison in it. (Which means i have to take a shit [sp]diarrhea[/sp])

they want them to make money... so they sue them and take money away from them and then say their math is wrong.
You do realized that Burgers are overpriced Sandwiches?
You do realized that Burgers are overpriced Sandwiches?
No, burgers are patty's of ground meat on a bun.
learn elementary math before posting please
It's called loss leading, where you reduce one product to a very low price (near or even below cost price) in order to attract more customers and encourage them to buy other things. Supermarkets do it all the time, and it's a tried and tested marketing and sales strategy.
It isn't like they don't make a 90 percent profit on all sodas
They have a much larger margin than that. [editline]09:17PM[/editline]
learn elementary math before posting please
Learn elementary logic before posting please.
Hooker vomit thinks mcdonalds is vile...
Hurr thats funneh. seems like 60+ other people agree with me :downs:
Usually from drinks. You know that coke you're buying, well it ain't the same coke you get in the shop. It's some weird ass syrup shit they mix with water as it comes out of the nozzle. Costs next to nothing.
How do you think coke/pepsi bottling plants work? They get the same syrup and mix it with water. It would be extremely inefficient to ship all that water. I heard McDonalds uses a sweeter syrup than the normal stuff though, to offset the saltiness of the food and make you want to drink more.
McDonalds still wins by 10 cents.
Mcdonalds tastes like ass. anything Burger king is a royal treat
Mcdonalds tastes like ass. anything Burger king is a royal treat
no 1€ cheeseburger, deliciuous and cheap
But they would make up the profits with the greater flow of customers.
The more people buying the dollar burger, the more money that franchise loses, because they LOSE money every time its bought. So, no.
Burger King = Fail McDonald's = Fail A&W = Yum Carl's Jr. = Yum
