"You see that Zach? Clear as a crisp spring morning... G... N... in the Coffee." This is such a great game.
GN? Why GN? You mean that [sp]Kaysen looks like[/sp] Gabe Newell?
DP is one of the worst looking things I ever played. I remember picking it up because a friend of mine said he got it, and had no regrets. I cringed starting it up, braced for the worst, and an hour in and I fucking loved it. It is one of the greatest pieces of entertainment I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing, and that is without the nostalgia goggles. It's so good.
i think it's funny how divekick and DP both got greenlit at once two great not-game games
i think it's funny how divekick and DP both got greenlit at once two great not-game games
how are divekick and DP not-game games?
how are divekick and DP not-game games?
they're just... strange.
i think it's funny how divekick and DP both got greenlit at once two great not-game games
Now, stop right there. With the concept of a fighting game controlled using only two inputs, I don't think you can execute it any better than Divekick. Especially since they support an official two-button controller.
Both games have a really weird concept but are also fun as hell. That's what I meant.
you could've just said that instead of making up misleading terminology
Both games have a really weird concept but are also fun as hell. That's what I meant.
just because they're not the norm doesn't mean they're "not-games" though you're discrediting the creators and what they created by branding it as such
just because they're not the norm doesn't mean they're "not-games" though you're discrediting the creators and what they created by branding it as such
When did I say that "not-game" was negative?
what the fuck is a "not-game" anyway
what the fuck is a "not-game" anyway
A weird game that's hard to describe because there's not much else like it, I guess?
A weird game that's hard to describe because there's not much else like it, I guess?
so does that make The Tree of Life a "not-movie" or Eraserhead a "not-movie" lol
It looks like shit.
But its a piece of shit with diamonds in it.
If you can beat the ceiling monster fights, then you are truly a master of patience and deserve a fucking prize.
A weird game that's hard to describe because there's not much else like it, I guess?
A game that has such little gameplay that you don't really consider yourself playing it and more experiencing it perhaps? I classify Heavy Rain as this, I spent hours experiencing a story with minimal gameplay, but it was still a game sorta.
When did I say that "not-game" was negative?
yeah and people who are weird are "not-humans" but that's not negative i promise
I've never heard of this game before (though I think I've listened to the Whistle Theme before), but all these positive comments and the "interesting" trailer for the game is making me wanna play it. I'm gonna hold off for when the Director's Cut version comes out and play it.
If you can beat the ceiling monster fights, then you are truly a master of patience and deserve a fucking prize.
Nobody knows the pain you have to go through to do that. Especially when you have like 3 in a row
Nobody knows the pain you have to go through to do that. Especially when you have like 3 in a row
Or when you went trough too many optional missions unnecessarily increasing their healthbar even more.

such beautiful dialogue so says mr. stewart
This looks pretty bad. Like if you took everything that makes up a stereotypical Japanese horror game, throw it all in one convoluted package and add a cat girl and you've pretty much got the entire trailer. I'll probably give it a shot if I can avoid spending money on it, but I'm expecting to laugh more than be scared. I won't lie, that trailer was pretty hilarious. The coffee warned me...
Spoony so sold me on the greatness of this game http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gaCMT7xiTOE
I wonder how that sandwich actually tastes.
It's pretty good actually. http://www.gourmetgaming.co.uk/post/6561253714/deadly-premonition-red-seeds-profile-sinners
the bits of this game that are bad will keep you entertained, and the bits that are good will keep you interested. only half of this game is "so bad it's good," the other half is just genuinely good
Imagine when the PC version comes out that people will start hacking the game to fix the audio and frame issues.
