A large percentage of lottery winners blow all their money. There's nothing stopping this hobo from doing the same thing. I don't think its very likely that this guy is going to be spending it wisely. Especially after saying the first thing he is going to buy is a car.
this is greater than the average yearly income of an average joe - infact, a few years worth
hope he's resourceful with it
And we all know within a month a large group of dealers, snazzy hotels, and prostitutes will be (combined) $77,000 richer.
Blow ALL of it on Cocaine
[sp]No but really, I hope he uses it well. Opportunities like those are extremely rare[/sp]
Cocaine ALL of it on Blow
But this is pretty awesome. Like winning a tax free lottery and you didn't even have to play! Hopefully he will be able to get a job and keep the good luck rolling

I don't see any reason not to blow it all. You end up living the same way you were before, just with some really cool shit like a ferrari and a big house or something
The luckiest hobo
Solution to home/car debacle: buy a cheap RV/Winnebago
Seriously, even lower-end RVs are fucking cozy as hell if you can fix it up
what gives the bank the right to call the police. they had no evidence or anything and they took his money, id be pissed too. its simply discrimination on the part of the bank.

because it's not normal to walk into a bank with a bunch of gold coins and wet money
Good for him, now just don't waste it.

A homeless man walks into a bank with a dirty bag full of gold and wet money, what's wrong with this picture?
Or he should pay for school and clothing, he might be able to have a future
If school is cheap enough there
if it had been a homeless man in a 3 piece suit it would have been a different story. they freaked out because of the way he looked. im sure if he was black the same thing would have happened. seems banks are like the only place you can discriminate legally

It doesn't matter what color your skin is. If you bring a large sum of cash in, the bank has the right to call the police.

you know most people dont walk into banks with bags literally full of money and gold coins. if someone was even carrying more than like $1000 at any time i'd probably think they're a drug dealer.
dont think you can buy a home with $77,000
he should buy a cheap car and live in it.
He's could buy a small apartment or a RV, get a bank account then just throw all his money in there and save up interest, maybe go to vocational school or something.
Hope he gets back up on his feet.
Someone totally left it there so he would get it, the ultimate act of kindness

My friend just bought a 3 bedroom house for 98,000. He could probably find a small 1 bedroom for that much.

It's still something. :v:
I think he would be better off buying a car and living in it while he pulls his shit togheter. Then he can buy a house to build his pimp fortress in it
